Convenient location. All of the staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were very comfortable with everything you would need, catered for. Although it was a busy services area the rooms were very quiet and we slept great and had breakfast on site too. Continental style but with enough choices to satisfy and charged at a reasonable rate. I would recommend staying there.

Featuring half-timbered buildings, almost complete city walls and a wealth of Roman heritage, beautiful Chester sits by the border with Wales.
The southernmost gate of the walls overlooks the River Dee, and the road leading north is one of 4 in the city to follow the original Roman roads. To the east, the Roman Gardens include a reconstructed underfloor heating system.
Nearby Grosvenor Park has remains of a stone Roman amphitheatre, thought to have been built on the world’s largest wooden amphitheatre at the time. Over the river in the suburb of Handbridge is a 2nd-century shrine to Minerva, and an informative display in the Grosvenor Museum provides the background to all this heritage.
In the west is Chester Racecourse and nearby are the medieval castle remains. More medieval buildings line the cobbled city centre streets. Some of these are The Rows, black-and-white timbered buildings housing 2 levels of shops. Other shopping options are the indoor market by the cathedral, and the Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village in Ellesmere Port to the north. The road out there passes Chester Zoo, one of the UK’s best zoos.
Booking.com’s range of Chester accommodation includes hotels with swimming pools, guest houses by the train station and B&Bs with parking near Chester Airport.
A great place for a few nights stay. Plenty to see and explore. Something for all the family especially if you like to find out the history of the place. The walls, the river and the shopping. Not far from Chester Zoo or Liverpool. North Wales is s as Lao a short drive away.

Chester is a beautiful and ancient city where Roman Legionaires, Viking raiders, and Norman invaders once walked. We especially enjoyed the Roman Amphitheatre ruins and the 1000 year old Cathedral. It is worth the trip.

Chester is a great town for wandering, the City walls walk was a great introduction to the town and it is worth doing this soon after you arrive to get a good perspective of the town. The Grosvenor Museum was an unexpected gem and ideal for a wet morning
The room was very clean and quiet and I found it very comfortable and well lit, with a kettle, fridge and hair dryer included. The hotel is very conveniently placed within walking distance of local shops and other amenities and is also within walking distance of Chester city centre.
I also enjoyed the Buffet style breakfast. The staff were very courteous and helpfull
There is a reasonable amount of car parking and the carpark at the adjacent Chester House may also be used if all bays at the Chester Court are occupied.
Good first impressions on arriving at the Hotel. Staff were friendly & helpful throughout our stay & throughout the hotel. Good location with about a 20 minute walk to the City Centre & a 5 minute walk to Hoole, where there are nice pubs & some nice restaurants. The room was a little bit smaller than expected, but very clean & complimentary snacks left for us. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice, both hot & cold options available. Great coffee machine.
Being only 15 mins from Chester City centre but felt miles away from anywhere. Set in beautiful grounds this hotel is so peaceful. Lovely walled garden and nice areas to sit & enjoy a drink outside. Our room had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the garden and felt like a mini holiday. The pool area opens at 7am, so perfect to use first before heading out for the day. The food is excellent as was the service.
A smallish room but beautifully decorated with a quality feel. A newish hotel still with that "new carpet" smell. Classy bar and restaurant area. We had a more than adequate breakfast. All the hotel colleagues seemed lovely. Reasonable car parking rates (considering the city centre location) in the multi storey adjacent. Oh, and Chester is of course a wonderful city. Can't wait to stay again.
10 minute walk from Chester station.
Comfortable room with cozy bed, lovely decoration, and a spacious foyer over a pub. Despite the pub downstairs, I couldn’t hear any disruptive noise at all especially that they’ve restriction after 11pm.
Perfect place for those seeking affordable and no-frill accommodation without compromising comfort.
We've stayed at the ABode many times and love the setting and location. Right in the heart of Chester, it's easy to walk to shops and restaurants, and the cathedral and city wall. The Abode rooms are very comfortable; breakfasts are delicious. Staff have always been helpful and courteous. Parking is conveniently located under the hotel.
A very nice and comfortable hotel - perfect for visiting Chester. We were able to park in their underground parking and then walk into the city centre (5 - 10 minutes away). Our room was very comfortable with a lovely view across Chester racecourse. Friendly welcome and helpful staff. An excellent breakfast.
Location is very good being just a 10 minute walk to Chester town centre. The Spa facilities are very nice and the breakfast was really very good in a nice restaurant. There is also a spacious and security fenced car park opposite the hotel which is a real bonus
Lovely hotel and location was great. Ideal for walking into the centre of Chester. Close to shos, bars and restaurants. Bar area and restaurant was lovely. Rooms are great and the walk in shower is perfect. Snacks in the room are a nice touch.
Hotel is modern, with a relaxing, chilled vibe. Lucky enough to have a canal side room. Access to Chester City centre is literally a 5 minute walk along the canal. Reception/bar staff were all very helpful and friendly.
Excellent location for Chester City centre, and a nice high street nearby. The hotel bar was comfortable and friendly with a good selection of cask ale on offer . Breakfast was well cooked and nicely presented.
Excellent location in the Chester Rows in the heart of the old town. Very well organised apartment, everything worked superbly. Two little glitches were put right straight away.
