Gorgeous boutique hotel in a perfect location to enjoy Saumur. A delicious and beautifully presented breakfast with many organic and local produce options.
Regis was very helpful with parking the car, recommending restaurants and sorting any question we had. We loved Chateau d’Azay Le Roseau that he recommended.. the perfect size and just like a fairy tale. Thank you for a wonderful stay.. highly recommend. Car parking is limited so do reserve well in advance. It is not guaranteed.

Saumur is an incredibly charming town on the banks of the Loire, with a beautiful historic castle set above the town. It's large enough that there are excellent services and plentiful restauants, but retains a small town feel. It's also within range of many great wineries and the great castles of the Loire, and it also has some interesting museums of its own.
We recommend Le Boeuf Noisette, Keating Steak, and L'cancuna for excellent meals.

Hotel is in a central location with free parking on on many nearby streets. There is chargeable parking at the hotel if you prefer. Although the hotel is right on the road and most rooms face onto the street it’s not too busy with traffic and windows are double glazed. Breakfast is really good value. The town has grand buildings and a lovely Chateau, all very picturesque. Plenty of restaurants.

A town that made tourists very welcome, and was very well set up for tourists. Easy to get to all the main attractions and eating areas. There was plenty of free parking opposite our hotel. The main restaurant area is in the square infront of the church , and both restaurants we ate in there were good.

Beautiful and interesting city.
Beautiful and interesting city. Wide range of shops and restaurants to suit every taste. Situated in lovely countyside and it's a mecca for wine lovers.
For briliant food, recommend Le Boeuf Noisette. For wines, visit Maison des Vins d'Anjou et de Saumur.
A drive around the local villages is also recommended.

Saumur is lovely, so many things to see and do.
Saumur is lovely, so many things to see and do.
However a car is mandatory and at least in the winter months everything is closed on Sunday.
We had a lot of ambitions to see stuff but only Saturday to do so. Which was an unwelcome surprise. Especially in a time when travel is so hard.
We came specifically for the tank museum (Musee des Blindes) which is unique for its collection.
The Chateau is magnificent.
Our other desires were thwarted by inability to move around combined with the Sunday closures.

Nice town with old center and very nice castle.
Nice town with old center and very nice castle. Rather exceptional tank museum is a must-see for everyone interested in similar topics. Good place for short trip, with more interesting places in surrounding area.
This hotel is fine, I suppose I just got sick of spending stupid money on O.K. property through France (and Europe in general) in the Summer of 2022. The entrance is a maze to get you to the reception. The rooms are fine, and the ones within the hotel offer great views over teh Chateau of Saumur, (however it is a fair distance from the town). We got a family apartment, I have not too much to say about that. We ate one night in the Chateau, and found it very expensive for what it was.
A smart comfortable hotel in the centre of Saumur. Rooms with wonderful views of the Loire river. Excellent hotel if cycling the Loire or Velo Francette cycle routes with secure bicycle storage. Parking outside the hotel is free between 18.30 and 09.00 the following morning otherwise 2 euros for a maximum of 2 hours. Anymore time gets very expensive.
Excellent central location. Parking no problem. Rooms are quiet and beautifully decorated and given it was a very hot day , it was nice to find that the air conditioning had been turned on before my arrival. Breakfast was really excellent and the hotel staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you. I would stay again without hesitation.
Location was excellent for meeting friends living in the area, at a wide choice of restaurants. It was good to revive happy memories of Saumur, such a likeable town. While the overnight parking I requested was tight, I was given every guided assistance by the excellent reception staff and it was accessible from inside the hotel, a bonus.
The friendly and extremely helpful hosts set the tone for a few days of relaxation in this beautiful elegant hotel. Spotlessly clean. The gardens were peaceful and the pool a lovely spot. Off street parking and a short walk to the town centre. Would thoroughly recommend it and one of the best places weve stayed in France.
Very good hotel right in the centre of Saumur, within walking distance of all the main attractions. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we got a very nicely decorated room, which looked as if it had been recently renovated (the hotel was undergoing some building work during our stay).
nice hotel nice location friendly staff have stayed here many times before .its great for central saumur you can walk everywhere and some great local restaurants .just around the hotel.stayed march 2024 for a few days its a great area for food and wine and the locals are great .
the room was fantastic in the period of the hotel, and very big, very near town centre, lots of restaurants, and nice town to walk around, the hotel stands on the river bank with ample free parking, the people were very friendly,we enjoyed our stay very much
Great location for a stopover stay. located close to both the ring road and the motorway network and also 5 minute drive to the middle of Saumur Town . nice comfy rooms - very clean and everything works! . Plenty of parking right outside your door.
The hotel is bare-bones. The room and bathroom were clean with no amenities what-so-ever. The location is excellent if you are heading to the center of Saumur; it is a very short walk. I didn't have breakfast.
Very friendly welcome from all the staff in the hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Quiet location. Air conditioning was very welcome in 33 degrees. Nice walk into Saumur across the two bridges.
We've stayed at this hotel once before and returned because of its great location just outside the town and its innkeeper, who is so friendly. Nice breakfast in the mornings and has parking.
Fresh decor in rooms, well furnished without being cramped. Lovely views of the Loire and very close to town for restaurants etc. Saumur is lovely.
Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.
Cheap hotel near the town centre. Helpful staff, basic but functional second floor room in an old building. Public on street parking available and a respectable buffet breakfast included.
