Australian Hotel Winton Budget Hotel Accommodation, hotel in Winton

Boasting a bar, Australian Hotel Winton Budget Hotel Accommodation is situated in Winton. The accommodation features karaoke and an ATM. At the hotel, the rooms are equipped with a balcony.

I stayed in one of the bigger cabins behind the pub. It was hot in the room on arrival, but was able to cool down with the AC. This isn't fancy accommodation, but it was really clean, well equipped, had a good shower & the bed was perhaps the most comfortable on my trip. The host was able to answer questions promptly & the hotel is in the middle of town.

What an amazing beautiful little gem… our hosts (Chloe and Jedi) and their puppies blew us away with their kindness, warmth, hospitality and love. I can’t fault our stay one bit. The whole experience was amazing, We didn’t want to leave, it was our home away from home especially for our 2 boys who after 2 weeks On the road and starting to feel home sick it was the perfect medicines. Just writing this review and reminiscing on our stay still puts a smile on my face. From the bottom Of our hearts thankyou so much. We can 100% recommend 19 Cobb lane to anyone (even the King would Be blown away) that how nice it is 🩷🫶🏻🥰 if you want to have the most perfect amazing stay and experience in Winton you need to stay here, right in the heart of the main strip, the property has the famous “Aron’s Wall” as its back fence and you wake up every morning to the beautiful sunrise and I’m sure there isn’t many people Say they get the spectacular view of the Winton sunset at night from out the bathroom window when cleaning their teeth haha

You really need two full days in Winton, we weren't told but to see both dinosaur tours you would need more time, you couldn't fit them in on the same day. There a few things to do and see but I don't feel that tourist are being made aware of it well enough or that the landmarks or Heritage stuff is being well preserved. We had a day there and only as we were leaving discovered we had a heritage site across the road from us.

The staff at Outback Motel were knowledgeable about activities in the town and places to visit. We did the Rangelands Tour and Dinosaurs Tour with Red Dirt Tours. They were very friendly and efficient would recommend them. We visited the Tattersalls Hotel and the Waltzing Matilda Centre for meals.

We stayed for two nights in Winton and loved it!

We stayed for two nights in Winton and loved it! It would have been great to have an extra night but we still managed to fit in a trip to Lark Quarry, a drive through Bladensburg National Park, including a visit to the homestead and shearing shed (the most pristine one we've ever seen!), the Waltzing Matilda museum, a visit to the Dark Sky Observatory (a MUST do!) and the Dinosaur Museum. We also visited the pool and waterpark - on a 41C day - which was FABULOUS, and the outdoor cinema (which was fun but we would have preferred to see a movie rather than the old style experience, which was what was on offer for us). The pubs were great, the coffee shop/bookshop was a terrific find. This is a great place for a family holiday, and our Olive Grove accommodation was just perfect for us.

The age of dinosaurs and Waltzing Matilda centre were just amazing. So educational and engaging. The work that has been put into these is incredible. The bakery makes the best pies and apple turnovers.

So much to see and do with so much great history and displays. Their history and Dinosaur displays were incredible and the Dinosaur Stampede display going back 90 million years plus their museums including the Waltzing Matilda museum which was one of the best I have seen. Just great

Perfect quiet location for exploring Winton. Pubs and the town centre were in easy walking distance, allowing us stretch our legs after a day exploring and enjoy the fresh air and stars. The back yard was green and private and a great place for breakfast, a lazy afternoon on the grass or in a hammock or stargazing (even when the sports field was lit up!). Fowl and sheep occasionally wandered past the common area over the back fence for added interest!

Service and attention from the host - Leesa. She was very helpful with advice of eateries over Easter. Also she phoned us before arriving to ensure she was on hand on our arrival and also after we had left to thank us for staying with them. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and a typical basic room and shower ensuite - all you need on a stayover like this. Parking is at your door which is always nice.

I ate at the hotel most nights. The Pizza there is probably the best I have had. All the food was lovely and very generous portions. The staff were so very friendly and I felt very comfortable sitting having a drink in the bar at the end of the day. Winton is one fabulous wee town.
