The rooms were clean, shower door needed a little attention nothing serious. Bed was comfortable and room temp didn't need air con on. Staff were great and helpful but got a little lost when I didn't realise the other half was over the highway but once sorted it was ok.

It's worth a look. A tour in the Big Rig is an absolute must. It was informative and interesting, thoroughly enjoyed it, a glass of port with the tour, fabulous. I'm still buying bottles of the port. Good food in the pubs on offer for dinner and other things to see.

We enjoyed the Big Rig Oil & Gas Museum & we did the Night show Sunset Experience. It is very informative. We enjoyed a meal & drinks at The Queens Arms and glad we booked as it was Friday Night. Roma has a lot to see and is very easy to drive around. We visited the new WQS Distillery and cellar door and were very impressed.

Big Rig Sunset tour exceptional.
Big Rig Sunset tour exceptional.
The Roma Bush Gardens were delightful. Good for a walk and photography. (A pity about the invasive weeds!)
So many breakfast, lunch and dinner venues to choose from. We didn't get to try them all but the the best two we found were The Tasting Co for breakfast and Roma Kebabs for lunch.
Wherever we went the people were friendly, making us feel welcome in the town.

Make the time and go to Roma - it's beautiful and relaxing.
Make the time and go to Roma - it's beautiful and relaxing. The bottle trees are worth a photo and the food is both generous in serve and next level in taste.
Try the age dried steak at the Queens Arms hotel - just amazing. Although the Carbonara could have been better - probably because they're a steak restaurant. And for great coffee + brekkie/brunch go to The Tasting Co on Hawthorne Street.
There's also great shops too with something for everyone

The Stockyard Sale was our main reason for visiting Roma and the experience was fantastic. The whole place was amazing, the guides friendly and informative and watching the auctioneers at work was unbelievable! I would recommend this to anyone interested in outback way of life.

We love Roma.
We love Roma. There is a lot to see just in the town (the Big Rig, the Morrelands Bush Nursery for a few) and then there are the surrounds. You can drive north to Injune, south to Surat or St George, west to Mitchell and beyond and then east to Miles and the four little towns in between. There is a variety of shopping and lots of places to eat. Keep in mind it is a western Queensland town and if you are expecting a mini Brisbane or such like, you aren't going to find it. Do some research before you go and have a great time.
I would love to say, that, staying in Roma Motel was wonderful. The staff there were very friendly and accommodating the room, bathroom and toilet, were very clean. I ordered breakfast for the following day, it was PERFECT! I cannot complain about anything. The lady at reception was very courteous and easy to talk to. Congratulations on what you and your staff do for the traveller. Kerry Hobden
Really clean, nicely set up motel room. Good coffee across the road at the Woolies petrol station for our morning hit. It's on the main highway but that didn't stop me having a fantastic sleep. The bed was incredibly comfortable.
The Hotel site manager seemed very friendly and very accommodating, we were very pleasantly surprised by this nice place, and it was very well presented, clean, tidy, and the swimming pool was great.
Spacious family suite. Awesome hot water pressure in the shower. Undercover parking for all rooms is a fantastic feature. Staff were friendly however, check in was a little bit slow.
This hotel exceeded my expectations. The family room was perfect after a long 10 hour drive. Beautifully renovated with a warm shower and super comfortable bed.
Roma Cottage was a very comfortable place to stay and central to everything you’d need in Roma. The spaces were lovely and neat. The hosts were very welcoming.
