Except that it looks a bit garishly coloured from outside it is perfect in every other way. Spacious room, well equipped common kitchen, in addition to small kitchenette in the room itself!! 5 mins from the most happening central area with walking trails, beach, restaurants, dockyard etc. Value for money! Will stay here again.

Wonderful resort! When checking in we advised reception it was our anniversary they kindly gave us a bottle of sparkling wine. She also recommended a couple of restaurants which were fantastic. We had a one bedroom apartment with pool access which was great. The pool was heated and we swam in it every day. The only negative was there is not that much sun around the pool area but you are a short walk from the 4 mile beach. Would recommend this for a relaxing stay without any kids 😀
Offering luxurious villas with free WiFi, a private plunge pool and a patio with a BBQ, Niramaya Villas and Spa is just 10 minutes’ walk from Four Mile Beach.

Quick gateway to the Daintree rain forest and Great Barrier...
Quick gateway to the Daintree rain forest and Great Barrier Reef. The town is peaceful but big enough to get everything you need. There is no public transport but pay fee shuttle services. We hired a car and found that useful. People used push bike hire. There are plenty of restaurants, ice cream shops. The tour options are never ending. We did a snorkelling tour to the outer reef and a day trip to the Daintree and Cape Tribulation.

Very nice town has lots of shops restaurant cafes and pubs, nice beach and very chill. Town centre is very walkable. We by coincidence were there for carnivale which is 2 days of celebrations, was great fun, and the place is very family friendly.

I really liked the wide variety of places to dine and all within easy walking distance. Lovely walk along the beach and up to the viewing points. Very clean and in a great location for getting to other areas of interest in that part of Queensland. It’s a great location.

We have been regulars in Port Douglas for the last twenty years the most consistent restaurants are as follows
1.Zinc
2. Salsa
3. Iron Bar
4. Gelato place called La Capenina
Most people are very friendly and accommodating and walking along 4 Mile beach is great however if you’re a family and want to see the reef don’t let the experience be soured by the expense as you do need a bit of money however

Great family holiday destination; lots to do.
Great family holiday destination; lots to do.
Snorkelling at the reef, strolling on the beaches and in the rainforest. Hartleys crocodile well worth a visit.
Lovely warm weather; easy to get around.
Roading up to Cape Tribulation still slow and some surface flooding due to heavy rainfall whilst we were there.
Peter and Amanda are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The apartments are very well located close to the centre of Port Douglas with a flat 10 minute walk to the wharf, beach or shops. The apartment was very clean with a full compliment of kitchen and dining utensils for making breakfasts and lunches. There was also a communal fridge and table in the entrance where leftover food was left ... a great idea to reduce waste of perfectly good food!
Overall the facilities, accommodation and location were spot on the mark for a quiet getaway. The Pavilions is located centrally in Port Douglas so don't expect a full on resort style experience, however for a family or couple holiday to experience the area and it's surrounds with easy access to restaurants, the Marina and all of the other wonderful facilities Port Douglas has to offer the Pavilions provides a hospitable comfortable base.
The apartment was spacious and clean with a good sized comfortable bed. The location was brilliant, just a short walk to the beach and main street. we had a lovely BBQ lunch at the BBQ located right next to the pool. Additionally, the owners Mick and Sue are really friendly, hospitable and were happy to help with any information regarding tours. We would definitely recommend these apartments if you’re looking at staying in Port Douglas.
The best part about this place is the manager – Mick and Sue. They go the extra mile for you. Including making sure one of our guests got to the Cairns airport when her shuttle service never arrived. The apartments are spacious and are located within walking distance to the beach and main street. It is also reasonably priced. I have stayed here before and will book here again next time we go to Port Douglas.
These units have everything you need, and are really well located for getting around the area and Port Douglas. The space is great, and I loved having the washer and dryer, extra toilet, and kitchen. The pool is pretty big -- I doubt it ever feels crowded, even when there are a lot of people in and around it. Staff was lovely.
The spacious and comfortable house was perfect for our stay with two families. We found the beds very comfortable and the big walk-in closets practical in the main bedrooms. The pool was great for the youngsters. The location in Craiglie means that one needs to drive about 6km to Port Douglas Marina - it worked fine for us.
The gardens are beautiful. There is a ramp to lobby. Unlike many hotels in the Cairns region this hotel is accessible for people of all ages and the staff are very willing to accommodate this. The mould issues that plague many Cairns hotel rooms due to carpets being put in the rooms seem to have been dealt with here.
Saltwater apartments are in the best location in Port Douglas, extremely handy for going out to eat or shopping on Macrossan St. The apartments are exceptionally clean and well appointed in a modern, nautical style. The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious, with heaps of room for a family of 4 with 2 teenagers.
This was our third time to Port Douglas, and we had always previously stayed in resorts. This was SOOO much better because it was so central and we had so much more space to spread out and really relax. 7 days in a hotel type room can be testing with 2 kids. Everything we needed was there!
The house itself was a nice design and pleasant to stay in.
Location was great. 7 mins to port Douglas. A short walk to the beach. Across the road from a nice restaurant.
It was clean which is always very important.
Lovely indoor/outdoor area.
Good apartment hotel in Port Douglas. Family run. Great location with a short walk to four mile beach and the main street in town. Tour guides all know it for pick ups.
Very clean apartment, with a well equipped kitchen, including staples such as salt, pepper and oil. Felt like staying at a family holiday home rather than a hotel.
