Unique building in a great location below the Tatras mountains. If you're a fan of modern architecture, you should visit! The room was excellent with views - I went at a quiet time so was lucky to receive an upgrade. Comfortable bed and the bathroom well equipped. The breakfast was good too. Also, if you enjoy wintersports / hiking, then Štrbské Pleso is q good destination and a bit different too. Highly recommend.

We liked everything, everything! The most beautiful atmosphere in the hotel, like a fairytale. It is the best hotel we have ever been! We should stay for 3 nights, but we stayed one night longer. They think of every detail. especially for children :) We had everything possible for our child in the room (little sleepers, cosmetics..) We went hiking in the area during spring time, so we just spent 1 night here. I would choose it again. We could reach main hiking routes in 5 minutes. Staff was nice. Hotel has its own parking lot, so we did not need to pay for parking in the main town parking lot. There is a small supermarket right next to the hotel, so it is easy to buy anything you would need during holidays.

The property location is perfect for hitting the slopes. The staff were great, breakfast was fresh, lots of choice and plentiful. The hotel is very clean and the bar is well stocked. The evening meals were tasty too!

Važec is a little town. Not too rich, but quiet and calm and 20 km far from the Tatra (Skalante Pleso). Walking there was worth to do, because it was nice to see the creek that crosses the town, the small center, the tiny lake next to the cave and by the way there is a cave here that is worth to visit. :) The Važecká Cave is one of the most known caves in the northern Slovakia. Though by length it belongs among the short show caves, it is known by occurrence of rich dripstone decoration, remarkable findings of cave bear bones, as well as by rare cave fauna.
