Liptovsky Mikulas is a great place to stay; the town center is excellent, with a very famous church. All the central square is such a lovely place, and be sure to look for the program: they do outside free music evenings and concerts. Unexpectedly, we have enjoyed listening to a local (?) rock group music. It was great, and the guys made "a noise"! Several restaurants are about. The attractions for kids are plenty, such as an Illusions museum (worth to go!), or a roller coaster (worth to go!) and, of course, an aqua park (expensive but a great experience for those who likes). Supermarkets, gas stations, restaurants are well available. And, you are near the mountains with 10-20 min to reach multiple mountain attractions. And, our experience is that all the roads around are very good. We had no traffic jams, and could easily travel for 70-80 km around, this means reaching famous Slovakian attractions in the mountains: lakes, waterfalls, parks.

Don't stay in Mikulas overnigh, better find something in Poprad district and visit TatraLandia, Chopok or Besenova by car. Services sucks miserably, they are in "Give me your money and go away..." mode.

Amazing town in the heart of Tatra mountains right between Low, West and High Tatras. Amazing climate in summer, gorgeous mountain views, green meadows. A lot of things to do outdoors and indoors. Main attractions are Tatralandia, Caves and snow slopes in the winter. Wonderful bike trail along the Vah river. Hundreds of trails around for hiking. This place is especially good if you love the nature and mountain hiking

Town is an excellent starting point for winter skiing, summer swimming in Liptovska Mara lake, trekking in Low Tatras mountains or taking a trip to awesome High Tatras. Liptovsky Mikulas itself is not very exciting town for tourists but it is surrounded by hot spa pools, has beautiful views on mountains and you can find yummy food restaurants in there. We used Restaurant Taverna Liptovska Izba.

This is a cosy, friendly small town in between the mountains. There are good restaurants, excellent places to ski, lots of beautiful scenic places and relaxing atmosphere. This is a good place whether you are travelling alone or with your family.

Great location - close to the city center and the Jasna ski bus. There's a big supermarket a 12-minute walk away, with smaller shops around the corner.
The accommodation is very cozy, as can be seen in the pictures.
There's nothing better than playing the piano while a fire crackles in the fire pit (plenty of fire wood available free of charge) after an intense day of skiing.
Small inner garden can be used for grilling/eating outside.
Beds are huge and comfortable.
This Penzion is very good value for the price. We liked the central location (also not far from the ski bus stop to Jasna), the nice bathroom, the well equipped kitchen. The staff was also very friendly and helpful (they helped us even with our car, because due to the extreme cold weather we had some problem with starting the engine). The temperature in the apartment was very warm (sometimes we felt too hot), but it was perfect for my 4 month old son. Thank you! :)
It was our second stay at the property and it was equally delightful, accommodating not only four guests but also our furry companion "Simba". The exceptional experience was marked by the warm and supportive host, the charming house, and favorable weather conditions. This time, we ventured into skiing adventures, with the nearest ski slope parking in Jasna conveniently located just 20 minutes away by car. A fantastic trip filled with enjoyable moments!
Everything was great. The cleanliness of the rooms was exceptional, in the kitchen are almost everything you need including the dishwasher. I had a separate ski storage room heated. There is also a washing machine in the apartment. The surface of the apartment reaches for 5 6 people. If we return to Jasna we will definitely stay in the same place. Ski bus stop 300 meters away, the area is quiet close to the shopping centers of Liptovsky Mikulas
There are a lot of bad reviews about this hotel and I am not sure why. Its a clean place, breakfasts are great and they are self service, and people working there are amazing. You get 1 h free SPA which is sauna and jacuzzi. The Ski bus stop is about 50 meters away from the hotel. The family room has got bedroom upstairs and there is a lake view from your balcony. The food in the restaurant is super good with very reasonable prices.
The host is one of the nicest man in Slovakia, really hospitable, even at a late arrival. Speaks very good English, a nice surprise in Liptov.
The whole accommodation is well thought out and fits travellers needs. For example you can set the room temperature, really rare even in a hotel.

The room was comfortable. We used the swimming pool which is a great addition to the room. Breakfast was great with variety of food to choose from. The hotel is children adapted, there is a play room next to the dining room which enables parents to have breakfast without having kids loosing patience. The swimming pool is also equipped with lots of toys for children.
The staff was very kind, cheerful and helpful. Our room (no. 3) had freshly renovated bathroom - as in a hotel! There was a well-equipped shared kitchen. The interior of the building was very clean. There was a separate locked room for skiing equipment in the building, which included a ski boots dryer!
