The Wellness area is also a nice addition after an all day skiing. The dinner was very delicious although small portions. Each and everyone at the restaurant was very kind and professional. There was live music during dinner. The beds and the pillows were very comfortable. There is ample parking and the ski room is very well equipped and conveniently located by the entrance.

Quiet escape from town. Ideal place to start your visit of High and Low Tatras be it summer or winter. Not too commercial and very authentic.
The City is positioned between High Tatras and Low Tatras. It has a nice town square and is the gate to Demänovská Dolina, which houses Jasná, probably the best ski resort in Slovakia. There are many walks and hike possibilities. Tatralandia has thermal baths and plenty of aťtrations for children. One of the best places to visit in Slovakia.
Nice area to visit. You can visit Tatralandia when you need to relax and Liptovsky Mikulas offer you historical places and museums to visit when bad weather. Other attractions are not far to reach such as caves or Chopok in Low Tatras.
Small quiet town. Close to this town, there is a steam railway, Ciernohronska zeleznica, that was used in the past to bring mainly the wood. Nowadays it is a museum with nice small trains. Check for steam or diesel engine, as the steam engine was not running all day. During my visit the steam engine was running around noon. If you want to hike, there is mountain Polana and the ridge of Low Tatras.
Liptovský Mikuláš is interesting for nearby mountains Low Tatras and ski resort Jasná and also for aquapark tatralandia. In winter Jasná near Liptovský Mikuláš is one of the best places in Slovakia to visit if you like winter sports. The skibuses goes frequently from the train station and city centre.
Highest mountain in low Tatras, unfortunately we were there with the cloud, so at the upper point there was no view, but otherwise - beautiful place.
Donovaly is a great tourist and mountain area in the Low Tatra Mountains. With its many attractions all year round is highly recommended to all age categories. And home made craft beer with a number of delicacies, it’s a must to visit!
Tale
For me, this was the perfect accomodation as a base camp for our hiking trip in the Low Tatras. We have slept in apartment Ďumbier, which consists of 2 rooms, but the interior of the living room is spearated in such a smart way that even larger group of people won’t disturb each other. The whole hut has a minimalist nordic style which absolutely fits in the environment. The breakfast was very good, and the staff was also very flexible and friendly. This will be my top choice when hiking in these mountains next time! :)
We went there in March to hiking in the Low Tatras with our dog. The hotel is close to a beautiful lake, in a perfect, idyllic environment, and the stuff was really friendly and helpful, especially Tatiana. Our room was neat, cosy, and comfortable with a small balcony. The cuisine was great, we loved it as well as the sauna after our long and tiring trips. So I hope to come back in the summer. (I accidentally left my sunglasses in the room after we checked out, they informed me right away! :) )

Very friendly and helpful staff, the apartments are clean and comfortable! We have booked a triple room with my family for the second time, and we loved it! The location is very convenient in terms of price / convenience ratio. From there it is very convenient to get to any ski resort, to the low Tatras, and to the high ones!
