The destination is excellent for going on trips to the Tatras. It is within 10 minutes by car from Poprad, and especially there is a train station there, and the train also goes to several stations in the Tatras. So you can save a decent amount on accommodation and go to different places in the Tatras every day. In Poprad, even though it is a smaller town, there are plenty of good restaurants or breakfast bars and shops. In principle, however, there is not much to do in the city, so it is ideal for going to the Tatras, sleeping over between trips associated with dinner and shopping during trips. However, there is quite a large water park in the city.

Easy access to High Tatras by tram, there are good ski resorts and its great place to go hiking in the summer. Rent a car if you want to visit other sites like Vrbov, Spis Castle, Bachledka or Low Tatras region.

Great place with a view of High Tatras. If you have a car, you can travel to High Tatras, Low Tatras, Slovensky Raj and other places with superb hiking trails all within hour or two drive from the city. High Tatras can also be reached by train. After long day of hiking you can relax in AquaCity (I suggest not going there on friday evening as it had much more people than we expected). Grocery stores like Tesco, Lidl and Kaufland are available, also Decathlon if you forgot some of your hiking gear at home. A variety of cute cafes and restaurants if you want to eat out (Restart Burger was supreme). Take in mind that weather changes quickly at the mountains so dont forget to watch the weather forecast every day.

We have been visiting Poprad every winter for the past couple of years. The snowboarding facilities are outstanding, and the food is great! This summer, we decided to explore Poprad and its surroundings, and we were not disappointed. A visit to the Belianska ice cave is a must!

Very nice place, lots of restaurants, pubs, bars, playgrounds, swimming pools, mall centers. Close to the mountains with mountain railways and walking/ski trails, small etc.
We've been there twice, we'll return for sure:)

Located under the giant mountains of the Tatra. You can see these great mountain pikes from everywhere in the city. If you like beer and burger you should visit Dobré Časy - they have good beers and great burgers.
Great bed & breakfast/pension for exploring Poprad or to hop on the train to get to the Tatras mountains. Staff are relatively friendly, although English is somewhat limited. Beautiful little patio out back. Rooms are cozy and comfortable. Dinner is delicious and priced reasonably. Great breakfast! Delicious with hot and cold options. The bells outside in the morning are loud but good if you're trying to get up early! Great value overall.
Great location. It's easy to walk anywhere in Poprad. Close to the train station for easy access to the mountains. Very comfortable and spacious room. Was lovely to have a TV and Netflix! Nice view from the room. Host communicated well and provided all checkin info in advance. Appreciated the microwave and kettle. I could even use the window ledge as a standing desk - perfect height and great to see the Tatras while I worked.
The proximity to the AquaCity was great, you can easily walk there even in a robe. The discount we received with our stay for the entry was a nice surprise. Unfortunately we did not have time to try out the restaurant but it seemed really cosy. The rooms and bathroom were clean and the parking was great, not frequented by anyone other than the guests.

A place very close to the center, two minutes near there is a supermarket, free parking nearby. A convenient location for going to the high Tatras as well as the Slovak paradise. The apartment itself is clean, very well equipped, a coffee machine for free use in the stairwell as well as a washing machine for free use. We really liked everything
Big plus: parking and balcony; walking distant to the center, Higher Tatry, Lower Tatry, Slovensky Paradise easily to reach. Modern Apartment, rather small but has all is needed, nice bathroom / shower indeed. Host very friendly and quick responding to any request, if not speaking Slovakian, use a translator to communicate.
A nice and comfortable hotel, located in the center of Poprad. The location makes it a good starting point for hikes to the Slovak Paradise and the Tatra Mountains. The staff is very nice. Free parking available on site. Mini-golf on the ground floor of the building, for a fee. Overall, very good value for money.
Literally right between the train station and the bus station, which you’ll be using if you plan to go up to the Tatras mountains, or to Spis castle. You don’t have to walk very far at night which is good because the area outside the train station is a bit shady.

Beautiful apartment, nice view of the Tatras, kitchen had everything necessary. Living room and bedroom had comfortable furnishings. Walking distance to nice restaurants. Unit is located on the 5th floor of the building easily accessible by lift. A very nice stay.
