Because of people like Elena and Georgios, I love Greeks and Greece. From the first smile with which they greeted us, to the kindness and helpfulness with which they showered us every day. The room was beautiful with a view of the sea, always clean, regularly cleaned, clean towels and bed linen. Modern furniture, excellent kitchenette, second terrace with sea view. Can you expect more? Probably not, but you'll get even more! Georgios and Elena will help you grill fish if you like to cook for your family, in a beautiful and well-equipped place in the garden. Every time you are greeted with a clean room and fresh sheets and towels, you will also be greeted with a melon to refresh you after the beach. And then before the trip, they will treat you to the best Greek olives, and offer you the opportunity to wash your vehicle to make your entire vacation perfect. I think I skipped something, but I know only one thing, that I will not skip going back to Kanali Homes again. With the most beautiful sea and beaches that Greece has to offer, the location of this accommodation is perfect. All recommendations from the heart!

Kanali is the perfect location for exploring the surrounding area. We visited Preveza, Lefkada and Parga. I highly recommend a hire car so you can make the most of it. We went in October, which is quiet, but the was a small supermarket, bakery and 2 or 3 restaurants in Kanali that were all open when we were there.

Within the vicinity of Villa Dorra there are bars, restaurants, tavernas. We dined well at a different location each of 7 nights. There is a well stocked supermarket and bakery. Manager can put you in touch with excellent taxi service (Alexandros). Cost to Preveza Town 20 Euro, to Airport 45 Euro including toll.

In the morning the sea is like a swimming pool, and just a bit wavy late in the afternoon and evening. That of course does not mean it is not pleasant to swim. At the start (when you get into the sea) there may be some rocks, but after there is only sand. (If you travel a bit further there will be none). I am aware that this is due to the invasion of the Italians, which used Kanali to land their troops. Kanali is great for family holidays since it is cheap. You will not need to pay for an umbrella and sun bed. You can order a coffee like Freddo Espresso for 2 Euros instead while using the amenities of the cafe/restaurant. The prices in the restaurants and cafes are very good, so eating out is highly recommended (for example 6 Euros for a plate of barbecued sardines). Actually, prices most resemble inland Greece and not a holiday seaside resort. Close by is the Roman city of Nikopolis, which I recommend visiting.

Very nice long coast line with a lot of nice spots, swimming places, beach bars, etc. Archaeological sites nearby. Countryside also offers opportunities for summer activities. Small cities and towns nearby offer chances for short visits to see the culture there.
We liked everything 💕! We stayed for a week before our wedding in Lefkada. The house is super comfortable for ten people and the property well maintained! There is a nearby beach 10 min walk, as well as restaurants and bars in walking distance and a grocery store next door. Mairi and her husband Kostas are wonderful hosts answering all questions on time and catering to our needs. All in all I would strongly recommend this place to anyone that wants to discover Preveza, Lefkada, and Parga or any other nearby place in the Ionian Sea.

It was the first time for me to visit Preveza Kanali. The owner was a very friendly and very communicative person. The room was very clean, we had a great view from the balcony to see the sea and the mountain as well. The garden was very beautiful, with a lot of flowers. I appreciate very much cleanliness also there is a large parking to put the car, and my husband was very satisfied for this. I highly recommend it . Thank you for your hospitality.
If you want to visit Preveza and Parga, this hotel is situated in the midway. Very close to the sea. Nice pool. The hotel was just opened for the season and we were almost the only customers and whole staff was smiling and helping us. We were upgraded. We really liked the hotel and stayed for another night. I am sure it is even better in the summer.

This was our second stay at Ionian Theoxenia. This hotel is extremely clean and has very big rooms. We booked a family room with 2 bedrooms. We are a family of 4 and had plenty of room. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. The staff is very nice and attentive. The hotel offers beach chairs and umbrellas at the beach. We had a great stay here and will be back for sure.

As soon as we arrived, Ioana greeted us and made us feel so welcome. She helped us to order food from a nearby restaurant (hotel restaurant was closed) and the following day went above and beyond to help us organise a trip to Nicopolis.
