Gorgeous property with wonderful staff throughout. Our room was in one of the converted cottages, beautifully done and we even had an Easter egg left as a gift as it was over Easter weekend. Everywhere was spotless and well presented, food and drink exceptional, perfect place for a romantic getaway.

Absolutely everything was amazing. The location, staff, food, accommodation. We could not fault it at all.

It's all about the location, there's not much else to like. Breakfast was decent, but having paid £130 for what felt like a glorified shed, I wasn't expecting to pay for it.

My room was fantastic. A huge, very comfy bed, with extra pillows in the wardrobe (& iron, ironing board and hairdryer). Shower room was clean and fairly recently refurbished. Breakfast - lots of choice and very good. Location was great, easy to find and plenty of parking.

Only stayed one night enroute to Devon. An ideal stop over; warm welcome, lovely room, comfortable lounge and bar for pre dinner drink. Food was excellent, could be eaten in the bar or in the restaurant. Reasonably priced wine.
Breakfast choices, no buffet. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel, the host was very friendly and helpful , room was delightful ,choice of breakfast, served in our room due to Covid 19 restriction, was very nice. Will stay again next time we are in this area.
We chose it for the location; about 15 minutes drive from the arboretum at Westonbirt. The hotel is in a charming village location and our room overlooked the lovely gardens at the rear. The room was spacious and spotless and the bed comfortable. Great breakfast and charming family hosts. Free WiFi, although I did have to find the proprietor to ask for the code. Great stay , will definitely be returning.
Very interesting and traditional place to stay with historical background!

We had a full English Breakfast which was very well cooked. On the strength of the breakfast, we booked to have dinner one night and were not disappointed. The staff made us feel very welcome and the hotel was so dog friendly, it made travelling with our pet easy.
Charming roadside hotel with an interesting history. The hosts were very attentive. It's a small-scale hotel, and had a great feeling-at-home vibe. Both the dinner (we ordered it once in the two nights we stayed) and breakfast options were quite good.
Very friendly staff. Simply had a good time. Walked to hotel. Was made immediately welcome. Even vegan options for dinner which seemed rare for area. Family room great for 2 individuals as separate rooms with wc inbetween.
We had a very nice and relaxing stay at Bodkin House - it’s a super charming hotel and is surrounded by great gardens with lots of space for our dog. Super friendly and helpful staff and delicious dinner!
