The Star Inn, hotel in Huggate

Set in North Dalton, 36 km from York Minster, The Star Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

The inn was a very warm welcoming place to stay in a quiet and small village in East Yorkshire, the staff were all exceptionally helpful, but the location was still not far from my appointments on either day. My room was very well presented, clean and nicely appointed. The evening meal was excellent and very generous portions.

Incredibly clean, great self-catering facilities and the glamping pod was very warm and cosy. I would happily stay here again, both as a solo traveller and as a couple. Great to know that Seaways is also dog friendly!

Wolds Away offers an excellent place to get away from all...

Wolds Away offers an excellent place to get away from all the madness of life and just take a deep breath, slower the pace down and just RELAX! The lodges are extremely comfortable, cosy and warm. They’re in the perfect location with a peaceful outlook, peace and quiet and perfect for relaxing in the hot tub or just sitting outside on the decking with a drink and taking time out of your busy life and recharge again! This was our second visit in over 4 years. The first time we staying in ‘Lazy Days’ and this time was for my January birthday in ‘Wine Down’ lodge and we weren’t disappointed. The lodge was extremely cosy, warm, clean and very comfortably furnished and well equipped. The Wifi was a bit hit and miss but the owners were there quickly to sort it out. We can highly recommend staying at Wolds Away and we will definitely be back there in the near future.

As a group of six we never felt crowded.

As a group of six we never felt crowded. We were, to a man, thrilled with the location and the quality of the accommodation .The facilities were also top quality. The hot tub was amazing. Our host Vicky was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. Huggate is a very small and picturesque village however there are plenty of local walks to suit all abilities. Local towns were all worth a visit. The local pub served very good food but beware, it is/was closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
