Underrated city. Although it's small, it has many museums, shops, pubs, and cafes. I recommend the Ferens gallery especially, which always has amazing stuff going on and honestly doesn't have the right to go as hard as it does.

Hull is a beautiful town that has a satisfactory mix of old and new. There is plenty for all to do, from museums, to shops, to The Deep Aquarium (which we highly recommend!). We did not have to use public transport, it was easy to walk most distances around the town centre, however from what we saw, public transport was easy enough to use.

I found good vegan food - Ambiente by the docs - but there was also a fair few other options in the centre. There were plenty of shops. It felt quite safe. There were a lot of cool looking bars and cafes. I came here for the hospital, though. So these things were a bonus. I wouldn't choose to come to Hull for a holiday; it just exceeded my expectations as a city.

The only short coming for Hull is the major road works which are currently causing difficulty for entering, leaving and getting around. The museums are excellent and free to enter and the night life is OK but there was a disproportionate number of drunk revellers. We felt a little unsafe due to the immigrants when walking around near the station

Everything was within walking distance.
Everything was within walking distance. Lots of bars and places to eat for all pockets. Old town and marina had lots to offer day and night. Would highly recommend Quayside bar. Great hosts, excellent entertainment and food on offer soon. Also enjoyed night life in new town. And if entertainment on at University check it isn't aimed at University students. Champion darts caught us out. Oldest there but students very polite and welcoming.

I was in Hull with work at the New Theatre, which has had a major overhaul since I was last here ten years ago. And so had the city. I was really delighted by the friendliness of the people and how clean and rejuvenated the place felt. The docks and marina were lovely and The Deep worth the visit... if not busy! Like many British cities that were substantially developed and expanded in victorian times under empire, Hull has retained some of its grandness but modernised. Well situated for the north east and access to Scotland, with a great history -and some equally good restaurants - I would recommend.

Simple room with all the basics covered for a very reasonable price. Efficient check in and departure. Handy cheap car park nearby. 5 minute walk to the city centre. The clever shower room design (common to all Ibis hotels I have stayed in) surely won an award for space efficiency - works brilliantly.
I went to Hull to see a band at the Bonus arena. The hotel was situated a short walk away from the venue. The twin room was clean and the beds were comfortable. To say it’s located in the city centre and above a pub it was also quiet.
Great location overlooking the marina in Hull. Good food and good service.
Stayed during the hottest day on record. The air conditioning in the hotel was superb.
Lovely rooms, comfortable beds & great location next to the marina - easy walk into the city centre. Traditional pub on the ground floor serves decent food too
