Good location - quiet yet not far from local attractions etc. The decor and artwork is fabulous and quirky. The room was spotless and the sloe gin a nice touch. Possibly one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Breakfast was excellent and lovely friendly staff.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, the food was well priced and really good. Having to leave early was no bother and breakfast was ready for me as requested. Feedback given on the room and gratefully received by the owner. Altogether a great stay and will use again.

The staff was one of the kindest I've ever met. I am a wheelchair user and I requested specific details regarding space, toilet, and bathroom accessibility, and everything was clearly described and available as soon as I got there. The staff also helped me to store one equipment that I had to rent for my needs. There is a ramp at the back door of the restaurant, and I could access all facilities. Besides that, the hotel was really cozy, clean, and silent. Just a few minutes' walk away, you have access to the Wellcome Genome Campus. The breakfast is amazing! It's really worth tasting the Royal one, with spinach, eggs, and smoked salmon. Dinner is also good!

No WiFi. There is absolutely nothing to do in the area if you don’t have a car so an alternative form of entertainment would be appreciated. They mentioned a streaming service was available it wasn’t. There were no instructions left for any of the appliances so it was trial and error. There were no bin bags in the bins, no instructions on where to leave the rubbish. There were inadequate power points in the kitchenette. You had to unplug something behind an appliance to use anything. The smell of damp was horrendous. The bin facilities consisted of a waste paper basket. Useless when you are cooking meals. Was given instructions last minute for entering the property. Felt like i was a criminal as they didn’t let me know how to get into the property till I was there. Didn’t receive instructions on how to leave the property until I was 100 miles away. Would definitely not stay there again.

We had our pet dog traveling together.
We had our pet dog traveling together. This property accepted a dog, even in the restaurant. And, we really liked the style of the cottage. It was well renovated and felt very comfortable. We spent such a nice holiday stay in this property.
