Everything. We were travelling with our dog Tashi and it was perfect. Also we booked dinner the night we arrived , again excellent and all the staff very welcoming, easily accommodating our dog through out.
Excellent range of small independent shops. Very pretty village. Must accept parking limited so use main car park to give you time to walk around and enjoy the place. Good range of eateries and take away options.

This is a lovely market town with individual shops, and friendly staff. We also did a fabulous walk along the Cleveland Way to Rievaulx Abbey and back.
There is a diverse choice of restaurants in the square, and several pubs/hotels. We had fabulous food at The Feathers Hotel where we stayed, and Bantams Restaurant.

What a perfect location with so much to see and do within a short distance. Great food establishments in town from the Fish n Chip shop to what we think is the best Indian we've ever visited (& we live close to Bradford). Three lovely pubs that are all different & we even find the locals a friendly bunch too.

We spent almost a whole morning in the castle where there was much more to see than we had thought. The birds of prey centre nearby was also very enjoyable. The are a good range of shops and several places to eat.
Stilworth house is in the heart of Helmsley, an absolutely gorgeous town. Our host Carol was wonderful, the breakfast was amazing. Our room was perfect for us and it's situation in the centre of town meant that we could pop in and drop off any shopping etc. Carol gave us excellent recommendations including things to see and places to eat. We absolutely adored the town and are planning our return (hopefully with other family members!). Can highly recommend this wonderful b&b.
Very peaceful and quiet stay. Pets are weocome.Laura our host was on hand if we needed anything. A phone call or text to drop anything off. Very accommodating friendly lady and her son Spencer is a credit to her. Highly recommended.short walk into Helmsley town centre or the open air swimming pool. ( booking online is recommended prior to staying). Hoping to stay again in the near future.
We were made to feel exceptionally welcome, from being led to the private car parking space, to the generous offer of a mince pie every time we had a drink! Everything is the highest quality - the bathroom was luxurious and the bed was soo comfortable. Helmsley is beautiful and the Christmas decorations make it like a grotto. Lovely weekend - thank you 😊
Lovely cottage in a lovely setting. Very close to Helmsley for shopping, restaurants etc. Very peaceful. The cottage is very comfortable with good beds and comfy sofa. Nice, modern decor throughout. Lots of attention to detail.
Dave was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely come back here.
Lovely hotel with attentive and very helpful, and pleasant, staff which made our stay so enjoyable. In a great location in the centre of Helmsley. Lots of shops and cafes nearby and good walks into the nearby Dunscombe park. Lovely food both the evening meals and breakfast
I was in Helmsley for a walking weekend. Both Harry and Lisa are outdoor people so understand the needs of walkers. Having facilities for cleaning boots and drying wet rainwear ( which fortunately I didn't need) makes this an ideal base for any walker.
Have already written an excellent review on the web site. Breakfast amazing, along with the room. Didn't have dinner in the hotel, but overall an amazing couple of days, highly recommened and have told other's about the Hotel.
A beautiful and very comfortable apartment. Ideally situated in the town centre, with private parking and easy access to all of Helmsley's amenities. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. A perfect couples weekend escape.
Lovely country hotel , absolutely everything you could need in the room. Clean, warm and friendly atmosphere and lovely food too. Could not fault anything just wish we were staying longer as Helmsley has a lot to offer.
Spacious room overlooking the square, great location and good value. Easy parking behind the hotel or in long stay carpark. We didn't have breakfast as we did not want to get up quite so early so can't comment on that.
Lovely place in a nice town. It is quite large but didn’t feel like a huge hotel. The room was very well insolated so almost no noise. Breakfast was very good in the beautiful pub.
Fabulous location in Helmsley, wonderful host, lovely room with a fabulous bathroom - perfect for preparing for and after an ultra run event on the moors.
Lovely cosy cottage. Easy access to Helmsley which has good pubs and restaurants. Good central location for sightseeing. Fantastic views. Quiet location.
