Breakfast very good, choice etc although the room was chilly. Evening meal excellent although rather expensive and the dining room was very cold and I’m not normally a cold person. All staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming

Comfortable warm room, with coffee/tea making facilities. Nice view across the high street. Welcoming landlady and homely atmosphere. Assorted breakfast, perhaps continental addition for those of us watching our waistline. Conveniently situated near car parks and some interesting shops. There are some great restaurants for all tastes, Thai Basil is my favourite
With garden views, Forthay Bed and Breakfast is situated in North Nibley and has a restaurant, luggage storage space, bar, garden, sun terrace and picnic area.

It was spacious, clean, the bed was very comfortable, well equipped, easy check-in, in general we loved it.
King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn slept in one of the bedchambers and walked through the ancient gardens at Thornbury Castle - A Relais & Chateaux Hotel, a Tudor castle near the Cotswolds and Welsh...
Extremely good value. Comfortable, clean and quiet; friendly staff. OK so ‘no frills’ but still everything you need, for a great price. I stay here from time to time when visiting the area. Near to fast food outlets in service station, plus shops for basics/medicines. Otherwise, nice towns and eateries within easy driving distance. Curtains a bit dated … but really…. who cares?

Good Location. Lacks atmosphere.
Good Location. Lacks atmosphere.
Cold and drafty especially in the lobby, bar and restaurant.
Bathrooms could have been cleaner.
Bedrooms were a good size, beds were comfortable and well made up and the room was clean. Windows rattled and were drafty, as they did not close properly.
No guest ales or any form of traditional bitter offered. No Guinness. Just offered larger, cider or IPA on tap. No bottled traditional bitters either.
Restaurant lacks atmosphere and is not subsequently not supported by the locals which is a total shame.
Breakfast was the standard self service full english, with good sausages! Cereal and fruit also available.

Convenient location for overnight stay on long motorway journey. Bed was comfortable. Tv worked okay. Coffee making facilities okay. No view as to be expected on motorway area. Could not hear noise from traffic on motorway despite being close. Only minor grumble was that bath surround was discoloured and didn’t look inviting to use. Didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t comment but I believe you had to walk to southbound service area for this. For the price paid we got a fair service.

The Garden Annex was the perfect countryside retreat for my family during our recent stay in Gloucestershire. The setting was so quiet and peaceful, yet close to the motorway for easy access. The owner met us at the door with the key upon arrival. All of questions were addressed by him at this time. The apartment was spotlessly clean throughout and all basic necessities, including kitchen supplies, were included. We would definitely stay here again whilst visiting our family members in the area.

Sadly, during our visit, the restaurant was being refurbished but the Function Room was being used in its place. The food at Dinner was really excellent.
The staff were brilliant, polite and looked after us well.
Check-out was simple, made so easy by Elizabeth, who was looking after Reception at the time.
Our stay was exactly what we needed in the area for the Charity event we were taking part in the following day.
Breakfast was good, very well organised and we were placed on a lovely table, beds comfy , room cosy spacious and the curtains & blinds kept the light out, nice extras like hot chocolate, lounge/bar area was lovely, staff were all lovely.
overall a lovely hotel & would stay again.
Hotel is located on motorway so very easy to access and very easy to park the car. Big room and large bed . Ideal stopover if you arrive late and want to leave early in the morning. Nice lady at reception. Very good price /quality balance.
No breakfast provided at the hotel though. It would have been nice to have had a hot breakfast to start the day. Overall the stay was excellent. Exceptionally clean room and friendly staff. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you.
The hotel suffered complete water loss which could not be restored in a reasonable time. The staff were friendly and helpful and this was totally beyond their control. They gave us a FULL REFUND so fair play to them 👍👏
The reception staff welcomed us. The bed was very clean and comfortable. Rooms are tired but this is a cheap hotel. The room and bed were very clean. There was tea/coffee available and enough hanging space.
I read some bad reviews before going, but the hotel was lovely, rooms basic but very clean and comfy.
Everything worked and rooms were quiet.
Good value for what it was.
Didn’t have breakfast.
Excellent location, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, very calm and relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel. Would definitely stay here again, bed was so comfy and the rooms are very spacious…
Good location, very friendly welcoming staff and room at back of hotel so away from traffic noise.
Lovely hot shower and good Wifi reception. Free parking always a plus.
Slept ok.
Very easy to find, if traveling northbound. Very clean, really friendly and helpful staff, larger than expected room and well appointed for a budget hotel.
