It was very convenient for the Crucible. The room was quite big, it had a little sofa(bed). The bed was comfortable. The shower was a cubicle.

The guy who checked me in came out and helped me locate the car park & took me to cavendish block, where my room was
room was basic - no TV but comfortable - decent bed & shower
breakfast was basic but again very good with hot food available to order
car park was private and I was able to leave my car for a couple of hours after checking out
came back and had a nice lunch
everything was spot on, good price and although I was sceptical when I saw it was church army, I couldnt fault anything

Incredibly good value. Surprised to find such a clean, comfortable, well-decorated room for the money (we booked last minute). Recently completely refurbished. Tea, coffee, biscuits- nice big mugs. Our only regret was that we didn’t eat there, as we’d originally intended. It was very busy indeed on that Sunday afternoon (we should have taken this as a sign) and we fancied a quiet drink, so crossed over to The Devonshire Arms and enjoyed one in a pleasant area. We then made the mistake of eating there, too, and had a really dreadful meal (they couldn’t even manage a good fish and chips). So, there is a reason for the crowds at The Wheatsheaf! We will, for sure, eat with you next time!

It's a nice place. Quiet location. A nice room, with lots of windows, tastefully furnished. Fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Comfy bed. Friendly staff.
