Breakfast was very good. Decor of main house was very good, a bit dark & gloomy though. Staffing issues. Owners seemed to lack interest. The lady that was possibly the main cook was very friendly but had a very scruffy appearance & smelt heavily of cigarettes. A beautiful property, but not run efficiently. Signage was very poor & the owner agreed that Sat Nav instructions were very unclear. The Hotel should give prior warning of this & give specific directions.

The way it was no trouble at all to provide me with gluten/dairy products for breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Was greeted warmly and the accommodation was lovely, it certainly was a treat for my birthday.
This small, friendly hotel is in rural Leiston, close to the coast at Aldburgh and Sizewell. The rooms are en suite and main bar shows satellite channels.

The Fox pub serves excellent food and is right next to the property. In the mornings and evenings we felt safe walking our dog around Darsham. It was a great base for driving to the coast and exploring local towns.

Very quiet, though building of new estate will increase traffic and near to pub, but not intrusive. Handy for southwold, and aldeburgh and dunwich very close indeed. Ideal area for exploring heritage coast.

I`ve already done a review but would like to add, the service we got when we reported the light bulb was prompt, no fuss, Also the power switch for the shower was explained straight away and was the the same system as at home only in a slightly different place. The garden was a delight as was the view over the countryside.

Quiet village just off the main A12 although you would not be aware of this. Easy access too many of the well-known places in the area (Southwold, Aldeburgh, Minsmere, Snape Maltings). Very nice evening meal next door at The Fox Inn - recommended.
a last minute booking which turned into a great weekend away. Lovely room opening out onto a decking area and a private fully enclosed garden perfect for our little dog. The kitchenette was surprising well thought out considering its size and had everything we needed. Comfy bed and lovely clean bathroom - we would have loved to stay longer.
Food in the pub was excellent and the staff obviously work well together and seem happy to be part of a great team.
Darsham is a lovely quiet village and a great location for exploring the area
Everything. Lovely room tastefully furnished. Excellent kitchenette. Fabulous bathroom with loads of hot water and a decent shower. Food in pub was exceptional both in quality and value - as was the beer! Great location to explore the Suffolk coast. Quiet and peaceful.
