That it was exactly as we expected - quirky, characterful, non-chain (well Greene King, but...), historical, charming, bathroom adventures, where you have to guess what the taps are going to do - brings the fun back to bathtime! Memories of golden yoof drinking in the bar with the ghosts of Pike, Jonesy, The Captain, Fraser, etc.... Rooms nice and warm, everything clean and tidy, fresh linen.

The food, OMG! The carvery is not only excellent value for money, the amount of variety was amazing & everything was perfectly cooked & nothing was cold. Best Eggs Benedict I’ve had for breakfast in a very long time.

Great location for Snetterton race circuit. Large car park. Tea, coffee, biscuits and a bottle of water provided. Well appointed room with comfortable bed. Excellent choice in the restaurant, good food and very reasonably priced.
