Location excellent, bed very comfy, and had everything we needed. We really liked the house overall and enjoyed our stay very much. We would definitely stay there again. Also we were very grateful that Alice allowed us to arrive a few hours early, which helped us a lot.

Live in Beverly. Beautiful town. Great selection of restaurants for all tastes and reasonably priced home made pub food. Some bars can be expensive People are friendly and welcoming. Many places are dog friendly and welcome cyclists and walkers. The Minster is worth a visit and roof tours are available at certain times. There is a lot of history in the town. Quite a few, independent shops but these are pricey and appeal more to an older section of the demographic. The more popular stores have succumbed to online shopping.

A lovely historical market town, full of character.
A lovely historical market town, full of character. The Minster and St Mary’s church, lovely gardens and of course the market place with lots of shops bars and restaurants. The open parkland, the Beverley Westwood is a great area for walks and the racecourse is handy for racegoers. It is not too big or bustling although traffic can be heavy through the town centre with one way systems. A super place to visit and also to live.

Beverley is the ancient county town for the East Riding and it shows in the old buildings and alleyways in the town centre. The Minster is famously small but perfectly formed, well worth a visit. Another unique asset is the huge tract of common land to the west of the town (called the Westwood), it is completely open to the public despite having a golf course on it!

We liked one hotel we stayed at, but loathed the other one we stayed at. The main shopping street is lovely, with many well known stores, with a good sprinkling of independents.
Parking is plentiful, and convenient. Not much to do when shops are closed for the day, but some nice drinking/eating places.
The Minster is a lovely place to visit even if you are not of the Faith.

Lovely traditional old hotel, right in the heart of historic Beverley. Our room was on an upper floor which gave us rooftop views over part of the town centre. Our room was warm, comfortable and contained everything needed. Unlike most modern hotels, the Lairgate has plenty of informal, communal space for it's guests to relax in and the grand central staircase is a real gem. We regularly visit the area and have no idea why we haven't used the Lairgate previously but will certainly do so again.
My wife and I travel all over the world on business and for pleasure. My cousin was getting married in Beverley so we decided to stay at the Beverley arms because it looked like a good hotel for two nights. Well all i can say is that everything about this hotel is ‘right’. The staff were fantastic, the food was excellent and the rooms very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to others in a heartbeat.
Lovely property - immaculately clean. Location really good for Beverley town centre, a 20 min flat walk. A lot of thought has gone into guest comfort here - even some chocolates on arrival! Well equipped kitchen, even some cereal and bits in the cupboards. Really comfortable stay - thank you!!
The Potting Shed a 15 min walk away highly recommended for food, drinks and live music on a Saturday night!
The Hotel is in a great location with friendly and helpful staff, with the added bonus of free parking, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Beverley.
