The Owners are genuine lovely people with a generous spirit, they were helpful and gracious, they loaned me a bike and looked after me well. This property is for someone who likes the country and a bit of nostalgia. the room was a converted barn/byre and they had left the original hay racks. the apartment was large and spacious. The different rooms were colorful and had a big garden with music and beautiful decorations. I particularly enjoyed the monkey lamps and the green room at the entrance.

Thilouze is a lovely small historic village in the heart of the countryside. You need transport to get there and use it properly it will suit those people who like the country and the air and lifestyle it provides> In summer i imagine that the outside seating area is a wonderful asset and the barbeque in constant use

This is really a unique stay.
This is really a unique stay. An authentic chateau lovingly restored. Underfloor heating but still with exposed stone walls, etc so can be a bit chilly. The downstairs breakfast room/living room is warm and cosy. We had the chance to row on the moat - time didn't allow - but we will definitely make more time next visit. There are no evening meals, but lots of restaurants within reach - we chose Sache and the Auberge du XII Siecle - truly fabulous meal for 28€ Amazing value and wonderful cooking - the icing on our stay!
