The service was exceptional - the communication so responsive before we arrived, even booking us a reservation at a local restaurant (we arrived on a day the hotel’s restaurant was closed) and helping us when we arrived later than planned due to roadworks. The room was beautiful - a lovely combination of period and modern style, with a great bathroom. I highly recommend enjoying the gardens in the evening (if arriving on a day restaurant is closed, consider bringing a picnic and staying on site).

This hotel is divided into 2 buildings from the 18th-century, a former school, from Napoleon III period. Stunning building, the courtyard is an oasis of calm. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Could not be a more central location; you step out of the door on to one of the prettiest areas of Azay le Rideau. Rooms are simple but completely in keeping with the property. Great bed; shower - and surprisingly for the age of the building - wonderful aircon (it was 35 degrees the day we arrived). Breakfast is great, very chilled start to the day in the courtyard with a collection of fresh, local produce. Free parking nearby; 11kW EV charging nearby too (only one of two working though). Great start to a holiday - and a brilliant pit stop if you are driving further south.

Very convenient and large parking space across the street. Breakfast was nice too. Location was excellent, a very short walk to cafés, restaurants and shops.
