We had a wonderful stay at Alpenkönig. We had booked it for our 45th wedding anniversary based on reviews that the food was so good and it was a very welcoming atmosphere. And sure enough, the food was exceptional. Breakfast had everything you could wish for. Eggs were made to order, bacon was cooked for you too, French toast, oatmeal... all made to order. The buffet part of the breakfast was great. Mini croissants delicious. We took the half board option and were treated to gourmet-like food as well as presentation of the food. Delicious!
The room we had was very big and comfortable with a sitting area. Everything was spotless.
The walk into town was roughly 5 minutes. The scenery is beautiful. I highly recommend taking the Hündlebahn cable car. Beautiful open views and many possible walks.

Beautiful little village with a great park area, beautiful flowers and garden areas which are beautifully looked after, plenty of places to drink coffee but the ice parlour on the corner has a fantastic coffee machine and makes great cappuccino. Bike rental available. Cable car ride to top of mountain is recommended. Plenty of hiking routes.

We did not get to spend too much time in the city of Oberstaufen, but the area is amazing. Bodensee is not too far, as well as Hohenschwangau and Austria. And of course many skiing areas are near by and also ideal for hiking!

Beautiful little downtown, currently undergoing some road and sidewalk repairs. Nice restaurants, but some are a little understaffed, took a while to get a drink and place your order, and longer to actually get your meal. Not a problem at lunch but dinner was difficult. A good bier or glass of wine would help, if you can get it. My hotel (Hotel Concordia), was not a problem.

It is a very small town withal good variation of shops and reataurants. It is a good place to stay for visiting the area, you are close to the Austrian border so a visit to the cable car at Bregenz is worth doing as is a visit to the island of Lindau.
We (two adults and one small child) stayed 7 nights in the Ferienwohnung Willi. It was very well equipped and we didn’t miss anything. There’s was even an iPad and a robot vacuum. Specially good was the breakfast! The variety was great and we could order it via app.
The location is also very good, it’s not directly in center but in short walking distance to center where there are many restaurants.
Also very good of the accommodation it’s that we got the Oberstaufen Card.

hotel upgraded us to a family suite for free which was spacious and comfortable. The resturant had good food and the pool was awesome with kids. you cannot walk to town or resturants easily from the hotel but there is plenty there to do with family.
Very quiet location on the outskirts of the town. There is a family atmosphere in the hotel and outstanding breakfast with a very wide choice. For the quests coming later in the evening the key box perfectly works.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very comfortable. There were sitting accommodations to play, that was really nice. There were tea and self made cookies. Really delicious.
It was a beautiful apartment, full kitchen with everything we needed, immaculately clean, very comfortable beds, easy driving distance to Oberstaufen for us to see the cows come home

I enjoyed the hospitality at the hotel very much. The food was excellent and the wellness area fabulous. I will re-visit the hotel soon again and play golf in the area.
