Everything!!!!! I loved the place. When we got to the hotel it was as if I ended in a fairy tale, the place is amazing. The breakfast was sublime, having everything you can desire and the dinner was excellent. During which I had the pleasure to taste new things. When we use to return to our rooms after visiting the village we always found the room spotless. But the highlight of this holiday was the staff. At Kuehberg I felt like home, safe and pampered. I never experienced this feeling before and it is a lot coming from me as we travel frequently. Will definitely visit again!!!! I proudly say that I highly recommend this hotel. Unforgettable experience. Thanks to all the staff that made our short stay fantastic. C u all again this year xxx

Fantastic hotel, just a lovely place to stay. Great room, really comfortable bed, super balcony, wonderful breakfast, very friendly staff. Terrific sauna / wellness area in the basement, even on a hot day it was super nice as it is cool down there! I didn't take up the offer of the 5 course meal in the evening as a solo traveller but reception was kind enough to recommend a great Italian / pizza place ( Ai Quattro canti ) close by, was superb! The pianist / singer in the bar when I returned in the evening was also fabulous......very glad I stayed here!

A very beautiful town in Allgäu, worth a visit if you plan a vacation to Allgäu. A good place for skiing, hiking, cycling or winter vacation. The old town is very pretty with a lot of old buildings. There are many shops, restaurants, bars or cafes' inside the town centre. Oberstdorf also surrounded by many snow covered mountains, the view is just amazing!

Such a safe and clean place, good food options although limited in off season. We found summertime to be the best time to go.
Such beautiful views, walks and sights to see. The cable car gives great views, try to get the right discount card which makes it free.

However, the number of restaurant is not matching the number of tourist (ski season): it is nearly impossible to find a table for dinner in the evening. All is booked.

Oberstdorf has become a favorite place of mine, but I sense...
Oberstdorf has become a favorite place of mine, but I sense that few American travelers find their way to the resort. Curiously, the train station is perhaps unique in that it does not have a WC. The facilities are across the street behind another building, but I did not trundle my luggage there to investigate. Taxis seem to require a wait, especially in the morning rush hour to catch the early, direct train into Munich. Shops, stores and restaurants offer a nice variety.

Brilliant location for mountain walking and climbing with cable car up to Nebelhorn and buses to Fellhorn and Söllereck. Lovely riverside walks too. Lots of lovely places to eat out, but busy in August so reservations necessary. Quiet after 9.30pm. Good train connections and little need to use a car. Floral well-maintained holiday appartments with lots of balconies and terraces. Stunning views of the mountains, great alpine meadows and mountain lakes. If you like the sound of cow bells you'll love it!

Oberstdorf is a nice little town, with plenty of restaurants and everything is reachable by foot. It is ideal if you like nature, since there are a lot of hiking/walking routes. In the winter it is also good for skiing/snowboarding/langlaufen/snowshoeing/and more.
The location is amazing: great landscapes and sounds typical for the Alps (cows), especially if you (as we did) get a room with balcony facing the end of the valley.
The breakfast was very good and lovely prepared every morning by the tenants. Information provided by the tenants every morning about hiking in the surroundings was very accurate and always great tipps. The restaurant facing the Landhaus is very good and practical for having dinner without driving back to Oberstdorf. Thank you for allowing us to spend great days at Spielmannsau!
We had a wonderful time staying in Oberstdorf at Gastehaus Math. Steffi was so friendly and helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the kitchen was thoughtfully stocked so that we could prepare simple meals. The location could not be any better— a couple of blocks from the ski lift, close to everything in the village, an easy walk from the bus/ train station. Would definitely recommend!
I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was cosy and spotless, and I loved the spacious balcony with a beautiful view. The breakfast was delicious and filling, perfect for a day of skiing. The location was also convenient, just a short walk from the town centre where there were plenty of restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable ski holiday.
We were very happy with our stay in this hotel. The room is fully equipped with everything you need (including electric kettle) and the balcony is terrific – spacious, cozy and the mountain view is a real eye candy. The room is quite. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We also ordered breakfasts and liked them as well.

Location was great, right in the center of Oberstdorf, and a short walk from the train station and a short walk to the ice arena, where I was working. Grocery store just about a block away. Little kitchen was very functional, even included a dishwasher. Plenty of space inside the apartment to store luggage, clothing, etc. Host was very friendly and laidback.
Great breakfast. The rooms were done quite well with very unique feeling and with plenty of space including lots of storage space. Superb view from our balcony. Nice place to stay in the mountains if you don't want to stay directly in Oberstdorf town. Very cool bed with the wooden frame and movable TV! Bonus also is the hotel comes with a swimming pool.
Great place to stay! Well within walking distance of everything Oberstdorf has to offer while still being away from the noise and bustle of the tourist shops and restaurants. Amazing views from our private balcony and from the cafe patio. Will definitely stay here again when we visit in the future.
