📍locatio: pretty much far from everything to reach the tram 3 which’s running over night in the weekend you need to walk 20 mins and the bus is not running often, for customer with cars i will say acceptable
🚽 toilet: I would have preferred that there was a stronger or better vent
🚿shower: it was ok and as always I do love a lot their soap for hair and body.
🛏️bed: it was ok i found it just a little bit harder maybe a softer topper would have resales an amazing experience

Great University town. Seemed safe even at night. Ate in a variety of places including the market at Munster plaza. Great experience. Getting around is easy and quick because of the good tram service. Not very crowded. Weather was a little unpredictable.

Freiburg has so much history and a beautiful shopping district with a lot of restaurants very close to transportation. The food is amazing and it is so easy to get around in Freiburg. The people are so kind and very helpful. It is very important that you remember that all shops are closed on Sundays, with the exception of most restaurants. Be sure to have Euros on hand for this day, as a lot of places do not use credit cards. Check out City Park and get awesome views of the city from the tower, easily located by taking Landwasser to the fourth stop at Am Bischofskreuz. It's behind the Studentensiedlung am Seepark or the "Stussie," which is student housing for Freiburg. You have to try the tea and delights at the Turkish bakery, Sevgin. It is just a short walk from the main train station. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful town with many restaurants and shops. Old city is perfect and you must walk to the hill to enjoy the city view. From Freiburg you can make day trip to Strasbourg, Colmar, Basel, Baden Baden.

Freiburg is a very nice city with a beautiful cathedral in the main square. There are a lot of pubs, restaurants and typical German breweries where everyone can find the original taste of southern Germany. Very good nightlife. The city is located at the border of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) which is really worth to visit.

Loved this city, as I was working from my computer, I needed strong wifi so I chose Freiburg im Breisgau as the base to driving out to different hikes. I would have stayed in a smaller town in the Black Forest though if I had the chance, one that was closer to hikes or was a spa town like baden-baden.

Freiburg is the largest city in the south western area of the black forest.
It is fairly small however and the old town center which is in my opinion the only place that should be visited and stayed at is even smaller - you can probably see everything there is to be seen by foot with small kids in 1 day.
However, the atmosphere in the old town center is great and it is a beautiful center and is well worth visiting. I would recommend at least 2 nights to fully appreciate and enjoy it casually.
However, if you are looking to explore the black forest for a week I would advice to sleep somewhere else(maybe in a farm or some place in the smaller villages around) and only coming to Freiburg as a day trip.
Keep in mind that other than the beautiful old city center most of the city is unpleasant to be in with children and there are quite a lot of immigrants at the outskirts of the city. If you are no bothered by it than you should ignore this last paragraph.

1) Modern building and facilities. Right "on the spot", close to city center (3 min walk) and Train Station (1 min Walk).
2) Great Breakfast (expensive) and very gentle and professional staff.
3) Rooms have windows which open partially, what´s good give the fact that sometimes windows are sealed.
4) Perfect underground parking, at ~15 EUR/day when a hotel guest. Very convenient, spacious, clean and with EV chargers if needed. Extremely convenient in a town where parking on the streets is a nightmare.
I had great stay at the FT Hotel. Location is a bit outside of Freiburg, but its easy to reach with the tram. The hotel is located in a very green area, its quiet at night. Because of a holiday, there was no reception, but I could get my keys from the key safe. Rooms have a good size and are well equipped. The balcony is a nice bonus. Breakfast was decent, nothing too exciting but filling none the less. Would stay again, very recommended.
The hotel is in a Lovely historical building in 5 minutes walging distance of the city centre of freiburg, but the rooms could definitely use some upgrade, they lokken like there was nothing done in 20 years, the shower was broken, the floor was full of cracks the bed was not comfortabel, also the diner at the restaurant was very dissapointing. But the breakfast was ok

Nothing. We got there at 7:50pm. The man who was in charge of letter us in was rude and hung up on us. He was short and horrible. WE didn't end up staying there he was so bad. We ended up staying at another hotel and requesting our money back. Booking.com should not offer this hotel on their services. HORRIBLE!

The location is prime and I was given a beautiful room in from of the Cathedral. The hotel has a fine restaurant and I had the trout from the Black Forrest; it was fabulous. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
very clean and modern hotel, right next to a tram station, loads of car parking and a stroll away from the St.Georgen suburb of Freiburg. There are supermarkets across the road. Also we were able to travel with our dog, who was also welcome.
I selected this venue for its location near and with easy access to Freiburg, and it satisfied both these requirements. There's a tram that runs right past the hotel, and bicycle routes into the city are clearly marked and easy to follow.
