We went to everything on offer and nothing disappointed.
We went to everything on offer and nothing disappointed. Attractions, staff and amenities were all first class. Town was large and had lots of excellent pubs and restaurants, as well as shops for browsing.

The people, so down to earth and friendly.
The people, so down to earth and friendly. The Stockman's Hall of Fame. This was fantastic, as good as any show we have seen. Including overseas.
Mitchell Grass Retreat. Proximity to Winton. Unfortunately Qantas Museum a bit disappointing, as was the attitude of the staff.

Book everything early but check what days things are on before doing any bookings. Trips are expensive but worth it. If wanting to get there by train you need to book months ahead if you want a twin sleeper. Choose a cooler month.

Longreach is a wonderful country town, you can find anything you need there, even a touchless car wash.
The qantas museum was worth it. Unfortunately the stockmans hall was closed on the public holiday. Spent the evening on a sunset river cruise and had a wonderful time, we were wined and dined at smith's camp which included live entertainment. An absolutely fantastic end to our day.

Longreach is a clean, safe modern town which has retained much of its pioneer heritage. Good facilities except for lack of public transport. Most people would need access to a vehicle. Plenty of places of interest. Good selection of accomodation. It is very much in the outback. Air travel is probably the best way to get there.

Plenty to see close by and a little way out (Winton & Ilfracombe for e.g).
Everybody very friendly and helpful. Plenty of food outlets from hotels to cafes and retail stores. Everything in town within easy walking distance.
When I checked into this Hotel, I really didn’t know what to expect, (as with the photos on-line). I thought maybe a cheap room. When I got into my room, I was totally gob-smacked. The first thing that came to mind, was WOW!!! What the owners have done to convert the old carriage houses and stables, is totally amazing. I work in the Hospitality Industry-this is superb. An absolute wonderful price to stay here. Reception staff were very welcoming when I checked in, and checked out. I would highly recommend for any travellers to stay here.
Breakfast was delivered fresh every morning and each day we received a different mix of goodies. Always generous, delicious and tasty.
The accommodation and fit-out have been carefully thought out. We had everything we needed and more, it was comfortable and spacious. The tents are far enough apart to maintain privacy. Local hotels offer courtesy transport to and from the town in the evenings.
The was the most amazing experience! The glamping tent was fanominal! Every comfort of a hotel rolled into a really unique experience. The staff were amazing. The little touches like marshmallows for the camp fire and little chocolate to the bath salts, just perfection!
Location excellent but all the horrible reviews were on the money. Unfortunately with a full house in Longreach there was no other choice. The shower was hot and pressure good.. made up for missing shower screen filthy condition
AC good and works
Close to the station- we could see the hotel as we got off the train. Very comfy bed - somewhat dated decor but spacious and well equipped- tea and coffee available and toaster, fridge and kettle. Good restaurant for dinner on site.
A very convenient place to stay in Longreach, particularly when doing tours. Great WiFi. Walking distance to everything in Longreach. Complimentary airport/station transfers were a nice touch.
Great friendly staff from Reception to Harry's Restaurant. Room was quite comfortable, stayed at 3 other Hotels in town and Longreach Motor Inn was easily the superior one.
