Everything was perfect. The welcome note, the ease of checking in. Tanya was so friendly. The whole experience was such a lovely way to relax and unwind . The view from the bath was amazing, especially at sunset. Breakfast was lovely and delivered to your door. Oh and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. I highly recommend this place if you want peace and quiet with all the trimmings. Thanks for a perfect 3 days ❤️

We went to everything on offer and nothing disappointed. Attractions, staff and amenities were all first class. Town was large and had lots of excellent pubs and restaurants, as well as shops for browsing.

The people, so down to earth and friendly.

The people, so down to earth and friendly. The Stockman's Hall of Fame. This was fantastic, as good as any show we have seen. Including overseas. Mitchell Grass Retreat. Proximity to Winton. Unfortunately Qantas Museum a bit disappointing, as was the attitude of the staff.

Book everything early but check what days things are on before doing any bookings. Trips are expensive but worth it. If wanting to get there by train you need to book months ahead if you want a twin sleeper. Choose a cooler month.

Longreach is a wonderful country town, you can find anything you need there, even a touchless car wash. The qantas museum was worth it. Unfortunately the stockmans hall was closed on the public holiday. Spent the evening on a sunset river cruise and had a wonderful time, we were wined and dined at smith's camp which included live entertainment. An absolutely fantastic end to our day.

Longreach is a clean, safe modern town which has retained much of its pioneer heritage. Good facilities except for lack of public transport. Most people would need access to a vehicle. Plenty of places of interest. Good selection of accomodation. It is very much in the outback. Air travel is probably the best way to get there.

Plenty to see close by and a little way out (Winton & Ilfracombe for e.g). Everybody very friendly and helpful. Plenty of food outlets from hotels to cafes and retail stores. Everything in town within easy walking distance.

Very handy location for Qantas Founders Museum and the airport. Saltbush was very good value. I travelled alone this time and their basic room suited me well- would also have been fine for a family with 2 children. When I return with friends or family I'll stay here again in one of the more expensive rooms that look really special. Hot water in the shower was great. Free airport transfer was useful with my bags.

What a great place to stay in Longreach. Ron and Wendy are so welcoming and helpful, they made our stay fabulous. Our clean two bedroom family cabin was perfect for 3 pensioners. Beds were very comfortable, living/kitchen area a reasonable size. All rooms with reverse cycle aircon. We used the large community style covered BBQ area with tables and the pool was great to rejuvenate in after a busy day.

Not a lot. Considering how much we paid per night the place was very untidy and run down. The cleaning staff were great but didn’t make up for the fact that this place is not worth the money. The $60 hotel room we stayed in at Roma was a whole lot better.

Clean and comfy rooms! They provided more than what other hotels would give you and we loved the local touches they added; locally made soaps, Australian made shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash etc.
