Perfect location for holidays with small kids. About 500m from the beach - easy come by foot. Scenic hiking kids friendly trails, for example about 4 km and 200m ascend forest trail to Millstatt. You can come back by the lake on a regular boat. The trail from Lammersdorfer Hütte to Jufenkreuz is easy and fun for kids too. Pesenheim beach is the best one on the lake. There is a cute and comfortable FKK beach as well.
There is Millstatt Inclusive Card which costs 15€ pro person over 6 y.o. It gives free access to all beaches on the lake and discounts to some other attractions. Very good swimmbad Drautalperle in Spittall is free with this card - plan B for bad weather. The card is absolutely worth its money.0
We lived in a new hois in 4 bedroom appartment. New, clean and well equiped. Quite far from the road and near the mountain creek, so we did not hear the road. Specious terrace with the beatiful lake view. Ideal for 2 families, 4 adults and 4 kids.

Accomodation matches presentation on Booking so we got almost what we expected and that is great.
Millstatt is a very nice area. I think especially in summer it is nice. In winter (which is when we were there) it is not so crowded. The location is well situated between several ski area's all within 20-40 min driving distance

Millstatt is a quaint town with direct access to the lake.
Millstatt is a quaint town with direct access to the lake. It's most likely suited to families due to the amount of children that are present at the lakeside bathing areas. If you enjoy hiking, then it's a great place to start from; only 30 mins drive (sometimes on toll roads) to the base of a few mountains. The town has the amenities you need, such as a supermarket and a few restaurants, but not a lot more. There are very few bars if you would like to go for a drink in the evening, so make sure you head to the supermarket earlier in the day! In addition, the town feels slightly overcrowded in the summer months, so you need to make sure that you reserve your table for dinner a day or two ahead; there are also few places that could accommodate us on a walk-in basis. In summary, a great town, but lacking in the required facilities.

Perfect location for families.
Perfect location for families. The lake is fabulous, super clean water, nice beaches (approx. 3 - 4 EUR). Less tourists than at Ossiacher See where we planned to go originally. Many possibilities in close surronding especially with Karten card. Highly recommended!!!!

Good choice of Accommodation for all pockets.
Besides a variety of eating experiences and cultural events.
Best visited in summer and early autumn to maximise the excellent facilities and areas to visit.

Perfect and very tasteful cuisine for a half board. You can choose from two options. Breakfast a little bit boring however rich. Salat bar always included. Rooms in appropriate quality and quite modern. Nice stainless steel 1,5m deep pool in adjacent building (15m). Friendly and funny owners (lovely couple). Dog friendly hotel. We will gladly came again 😀
Good and plentiful buffet breakfast. Varied menu for dinner. Good and pleasant service. Cool room and balcony facing the woods. Good walks through the woods and on the hillside straight from hotel

Very nice and helpful staff. The whole hotel was very clean. Good breakfast, most things were there. Nice with the small bathing place a few minutes from the hotel.
