Geelong a city in Victoria, more like a large town feel.

Geelong a city in Victoria, more like a large town feel. Vibrant pubs, bars and clubs, some quality restaurants and has some wonderful area around to visit, vineyards, historical sights swimming beaches and further afield surfs up. I've visited many times and enjoyed the hospitality of the people in Geelong , the waterfront is an added attraction with the YC and marina plus the foreshore restaurants. A good place to visit.

I do the Ironman event each year.

I do the Ironman event each year. I plan to come back and stay for a holiday lots to see, I love the bats and the Botanical garden. The swim circle thing is excellent although has a strong urine smell near the facilities. Lots of paths for cycling and the Barwon river has an excellent walking track all along. Great place for active people. If you're into food then you're in for a treat, lots of cafe and restuarants offering a great range of quality foods. I had some delicious crepes on the foreshor.

Geelong city is a very nice place. It has a long fresh air beach with a lot of seagulls flying around and basking in the sun. It is a city for people who love running and cycling. A city where you can come back to nature with many kinds of birds such as Cockatoos, Magpies...

I stayed the night as I was catching the Spirit of Tasmania early the following morning. I would have been very happy to have spent longer to explore Geelong. Where I stayed was very convenient, quiet and easy walking distance to restaurants.

The house was superb, had all the mode cons of home and appliances were either brand new or very new. The TV was extremely large which we like and had netflix, youtube etc which was a bonus for my son. The bedrooms were well appointed and comfy. The owners Linda and Paul made you feel very welcome and also had the opportunity to feed the chickens kept in the back garden pen. Location was not to far from the beach and central Geelong (CBD) with restaurant's, supermarkets and general shops a short drive nearby

The hotel has been renovated in the past couple of years, so the carpet is newer and the beds and side tables are nice. There is however still some remanence from when it was the older Travelodge. The popcorn ceilings, old paint around the windows and old windows etc... It's clean, quiet and in a great location, though not a new modern building. Fine for a couple of nights, though I'd stay closer to the water (VUE Apartments, Novotel etc) if it's an extended stay.

Really lovely hotel / serviced apartment. The facilities are very clean and well-looked after. The location is probably the best. A short walk to the forefront with great swimming, and turn the other way and you're in Geelong CBD. A coffee machine is a nice touch. We were 1 adult and 2 kids in the loft apartment and we were very comfortable.
