Frans and Jojor are amazing people. We had a very good experience with them. They went beyond and above to arrange a more strong wifi connection because we work remote. Unfortunately this was not possible, but besides that the location, the restaurant and there hospitality has been amazing. Would stayed longer if I was not in desperate need of a stable wifi connection.

This hotel is on great location. It closed to many restaurants. Aside from that, they also have quite spacious car parking area. Our room was clean and cozy, but the veranda has many fallen leaves (no problem). Great morning view. They have their own private pier for those who left their vehicle at Parapat. Also, when high tide, you will have private pool which connect to Lake Toba. The breakfast is also considered good. And they also give you free basic amenities.

Very friendly and helpful staff. He provided very useful information for us like guided for transportation, extra pillows and boiler for us. The location is just few minutes to shops and restaurants. The staff are absolutely incredible, especially the lady who did so much to help us. The view from the balcony was the best we’ve had on our travels and the setting is gorgeous. The restaurant food is also nice too.

There isn’t much to do but the tranquility of the place is superb. Peaceful with good low temperature between 19 deg C - 22 deg C. A place to unwind and relax.

The scene there was beautiful and breath-taking. The whole of Samosir will likely only take you about 3-4 days to finish visiting if you have transport. However, my partner and I were there for 8 days and took our time walking around and relaxing. We do believe we could have shifted accommodations to another part of Samosir though.

Tuktuk is a beautiful and comfortable place for a vacation, its location on the shores of Lake Toba which is not sandy so you can jet sky but not play on the sand on the beach. many inns ranging from home stay to hotel. Currently December 2022, most of the properties are not well maintained, there are boats from Parapat to Tuktuk.

Tuk Tuk is a small chilled out place on Samosir island, easy to reach by ferry from Parapat (30 mins) or Balige (1 hour) there are some lovely people here on the island and plenty of options nearby,. The best thing to do it rent a scooter go for it. I went round the entire island scouting for best spots and village life. in mu opionon, head South from Tuk Tuke, lakeside on your left and after about 30 mins of travel you will be way up in the hills and mountain side - specatcular, watching Eagles and Hawks hunting up close from the vantage points - worth every effort and simply stunning views of the lake!
Put Lake Toba on your bucket list!

Laster Jony's is truly amazing! I loved it here! The staff are very friendly and very professional. My room was beautiful and also the hotel guest area was great to meet up with other guests and also to eat the amazing food! The fish curry is out of this world! Rent your motorbike here too because they are regularly checked over. I thought the position of the hotel was spot on - close enough for the fantastic bars and restaurants but far enough away from the early morning jet skiers that other hotels had to endure!
The view from my hotel room is stunning, i woke up in the morning and go straight to the balcony to enjoy my morning view. The staff is good also, help if we need something. The shower room is new and work very well. The hot water also working. There is no aircon but they provide fan. Nothing much to say but I would like to recommend those who want to stay here for vacation. Very strategic and near to the bar and restaurant.
I just love everything!!!!: the location (in front of the river with outstanding views), the facilities (comfy bed, private bathroom, nice baranda to chill out) and the staff is really really nice and friendly. They gave us free water, and also they let us put our fruit in a fridge. We were supposed to spend 1 night and we stayed 3 because we love it!!! I would come back for sure.

The Leokap Homestay is center of Tuk Tuk, yet it offers calm and quite accomodation facing the lake. The owner was exceptionally welcoming and spoke great English and was able to help us out with all our requests (bike rent, car transport) and recommended good places to visit around the island. Part of homestay is also a restaurant.
We loved the room, well furnished with many storage to store your clothes.

It is a very nice hotel, beautifully located. It is right next to the lake, so you wake up and go to bed with an amazing view. You can swim there right in front of the hotel and use their kayaks. The food in the restaurant is very good. We had a great stay and is definitely recommended
Juma is a really nice place to stay. Very nice apartments (mine had a really nice balcony) with beautiful view on Toba lake. Best of staying at Juma was the owner Pino, who made me feel at home, and made an itenary for me every morning when I rented a scooter and traveled the area.
The owners are very friendly and helpful. They helped booking a tour and a driver to Medan. Location is beautiful, WIFI is very good, big beds with good matrasses, big living room, very nice terrace with great view, good breakfast, water for free, only 9 mins walk from harbour
Lovely family run, waterfront guest house, spacious room, in the heart of tuktuk, which is where you want to be on Samosir island. Helpful staff who helped us get the ferry back, provided mopeds and cooked delicious food.
