We had a wonderful time, staying here over the christmas time. The food was awsome and we could easily hire a motorbike for cheap money to explore the island. Especially the owners and the other staff were super friedly and gave us tips were to go and to visit and always helped us with information and transport to and from ferry. If you're searching for a affordable and familiar homestay, just go there! Thank you for everything!

This is what I did not like: Small buffet and Eggs were cold and the coffee had a lot of sugar in it and the milk also had a lot of sweetness.
Some places offer both sweetened and unsweetened coffee which allows the guest to decide. Some people have diabetes.
Restaurant had limited good options and no bar which is surprising for a place that size. We needed the restaurant to open at 7:00 am when we had to catch the water taxi at 7:30 to leave and they barely got us our coffee and breakfast after being there right at 7:00 and we had informed them we were checking out and paid up the night before causing some stress.

This hotel is on great location. It closed to many restaurants. Aside from that, they also have quite spacious car parking area. Our room was clean and cozy, but the veranda has many fallen leaves (no problem). Great morning view. They have their own private pier for those who left their vehicle at Parapat. Also, when high tide, you will have private pool which connect to Lake Toba. The breakfast is also considered good. And they also give you free basic amenities.

The location was a bit away from the big resorts which made it a bit less touristic (as in there were not as many jetskies as the other places). The food was really good! When my backpack was delayed by the airline the owner helped me communicate with the airline which helped a lot.

Room was right on the waters edge so we had a beautiful view and could jump in to the lake whenever we wanted. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and even managed to track down my friends AirPods, which she’d left at Reggae about three weeks prior to my visit. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

There isn’t much to do but the tranquility of the place is superb. Peaceful with good low temperature between 19 deg C - 22 deg C. A place to unwind and relax.
The next time I will look for the hot springs.

The scene there was beautiful and breath-taking. The whole of Samosir will likely only take you about 3-4 days to finish visiting if you have transport. However, my partner and I were there for 8 days and took our time walking around and relaxing. We do believe we could have shifted accommodations to another part of Samosir though.

Tuktuk is a beautiful and comfortable place for a vacation, its location on the shores of Lake Toba which is not sandy so you can jet sky but not play on the sand on the beach. many inns ranging from home stay to hotel. Currently December 2022, most of the properties are not well maintained, there are boats from Parapat to Tuktuk.

Tuk Tuk is a small chilled out place on Samosir island, easy to reach by ferry from Parapat (30 mins) or Balige (1 hour) there are some lovely people here on the island and plenty of options nearby,. The best thing to do it rent a scooter go for it. I went round the entire island scouting for best spots and village life. in mu opionon, head South from Tuk Tuke, lakeside on your left and after about 30 mins of travel you will be way up in the hills and mountain side - specatcular, watching Eagles and Hawks hunting up close from the vantage points - worth every effort and simply stunning views of the lake!
Put Lake Toba on your bucket list!

the hotel is not big and directly at the lake. from the room you could see the lake as well. the whole atmosphere is just relaxing. the owner of the hotel and restaurant was amazing. she gave us many tipps! we loved to stay there and eat at the restaurant. there is a jetty 5’ away from the hotel it’s is the easiest to get there
Good location close to restaurants, not too far from harbour and the ferry can also pick you up directly outside the hotel. Staff were friendly, wifi in restaurant worked well, Bedroom was good, bed was pretty comfy, had a really good spot for swimming, tire swing and diving platform just outside the room.
I like the weather for sure and the view behind the hotel. It would be very beautiful if the bar or restaurant were close to the lake so people could enjoy the beautiful scenery. But, in fact, I found that the beauty itself was just wasted since I couldn't see the lake view when eating at the restaurant.
It's a pet friendly hotel wuth nicw and gelpful staff. The amazung thing ia rgat we can catch fish from the fish pond abd take vegggies from rge garden and cook rhem in the villa. Rge kitchen appliances are well equipped. Really a nice stay.
The staffs are really friendly. We even hire car with driver from here. The driver speaks English. Location is perfect. The boat just drop you down in front of the hotel. The food is good and clean. Wifi signal is strong. HORAS.
