The property was beautifully decorated and clean. It was spacious and perfect for four people. There are lots of lovely little touches such as a fireplace, a lovely welcome basket and chocolates on the pillows ! The location is excellent with a very short drive to the main peaks. The car park is right outside the property but we did note that from today you would have to pay to park there but there are other options available locally. The house communication was excellent and we really felt that we had true value for money! We would definitely recommend to others (we already have had someone ask where we stayed!) and will hopefully be back to revisit.

The shepherds hut is decorated and furnished to very high specifications. I would recommend highly. The pub also has a nice section where you can sit near to what was once I assume the mill wheel and the stream. Great setting and convenient for lots of walks around the Peak District.

Lovely staff, great location, wonderful food, Very comfortable and relaxed feel. I can also recommend the café which is about a minute walk away.
Convenient for one overnight stay as central. Needs more facilities if staying for longer.
Owner didn't seem to realise we weren't a couple and needed separate beds so we were a bit short of bedding.

Loved the town.
Loved the town. A proper working town and nice walks locally. Also really close to Goyt Valley which is beautiful.
Saturday was tricky as used to late night restaurants in Cambridge. The curry restaurant sorted that. After that we made sure of service times. The Cock pub did awesome food and great veggie food too. Lovely staff too.
