Peak District views and walks, 3 bed semi, hotel in Disley

Peak District views and walks, 3 bed semi is a recently renovated holiday home in Disley, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace.

A fantastic location literally on the edge of the Peak District - great for walks with the dog in the countryside (Lyme Park is just over 30 mins walk) but equally plenty of dog-friendly bars just 10 mins away in the main town. Spacious property including modern kitchen (FYI the coffee maker Dolce Gusto if you want to bring your own pods) so there's plenty of space for the different members of the family either in the living room (with a Smart TV) or in the kitchen-diner (I enjoyed my coffee on the breakfast bar looking out over the fields). Large fridge freezer and plenty of pots and pans if you did want to do some cooking! A great outpost for a long weekend. Even better view from the decking outside (in the dry weather)! Very friendly and flexible owner, who is happy to answer any questions should you have any.

Great location for a three day stay. Excellent full English breakfast prepared by Mark and all the staff were great. Had an evening meal there two out of the three nights as well and the food is well priced with a good range on the menu. The locals in the bar are very friendly as well which made for a great stay

    Very close to Lyme Park.

Very close to Lyme Park. A frequent rail service from Disley railway station. Good bus service. Plenty of excellent restaurants and local shops including a Co-op. The A6 can be rather noisy and busy - why not leave the car at home and use public transport ?

The Albert is in a great position.

The Albert is in a great position. We walked out from the hotel every day and in minutes we were on a canal a river or a landscape park. There are a number of very good places to eat in a few minutes walk. Great place to stay!

Very friendly welcome from the landlord, the room was clean and the bathroom fixtures absolutely spotless. Good hot shower. Coffee, tea, biscuits and a kettle in the room, in the morning help yourself to cereal, toast, orange juice, crumpets and fruit loaf from the little shared breakfast corner. Excellent location only 20 minutes from the airport or Stockport (when no traffic), 10 minutes from Marple, and 300m from a Co-op grocery. Landlord was very accommodating.

The hotel (for a pub) was very pleasant. Cleanliness was very good. Staff were very helpful. The kitchen provided basic food for breakfast, such as bread, crumpets, cereal etc. The fridge was well stocked with milk and butter and ample supplies for breakfast. The room was cosy with coffee/tea making facilities and a TV. WiFi included. The en-suite bathroom was clean with plenty of towels.

Jade the landlady I think was absolutely exceptional we didn't realise check in was 9pm as we had booked to stay over after a concert but after checking and getting in contact with the hotel Jade reassured us that we could still come and she stayed to make sure we got in and got settled before heading home. Absolute angel made our stay really welcoming.

Good location and to break the journey up. Parking is a little difficult as there is none at the venue .So you have to drive around to find off street. Walked around the town for a while and came back to the venue for a meal ,only to be told it closed at 8.00pm. But the Hotel served its purpose and was good value. Whether I would stay again. Not sure.

The room was lovely, and the facilities were good, and having the wine bar next door made for a convenient dinner although the service was not great. There is also a car park directly behind the hotel with an electric charger so very convenient for an overnight charge.

Lovely little stay in Disley, would highly recommend. Nice pub with spacious rooms and welcoming staff and locals. A few minutes away from the main city center area so quiet at night. Few options for breakfast but enjoyed the self serve and morning independence.
