It was an old coach house so quaint and quirky. Our meal the first night was good reasonably priced. Breakfast was tasty and substantial. Our bedroom was right at the top. It was fine but not for anyone with mobility issues. A bit tricky for my talk husband with the low beams. I'm short so not a problem!!

The property was very charming and the hosts were very accommodating for our late arrival and late check out. We had our dogs with us, which worked quite nicely. It was beautiful space with lovely attention to detail and it’s a place we would definitely go back to.

Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside.
Tutbury is a really lovely place in very nice countryside. The high street has retained its quite select features, is clean and well cared for. The hotel is central to the street. Not a place for retail therapy but one excellent antique centre in the old Chapel plus a few eateries and take-seats. Overall it is a lovely central place to stay.

Lovely little village, quiet but went in March.
Lovely little village, quiet but went in March. Castle not open but we had a pleasant walk around the village. There are a few shops for browsing.
The Courtyard cafe is worth a visit - had a lovely brunch there and the coffee was great!
the Hourglass is also recommended - light evening meals - had the veggie platter; very nice

Nice quaint village with plenty of character and history. Nice food at the Dog and Partridge, bit tricky to get to using the Satnav from Alton Towers but might have been my navigation! Will be visiting again soon.

Tutbury was a lovely friendly town with everything you needed within walking distance. Our favourite place was Ye Olde Dog and Partridge Hotel where we stayed overnight and ate and drank there also..

A lovely little town, and very quiet at night, until a poor lady with mental health issues kicked off in the street in the middle of the night. Looking back, I should have called 999, but someone did come along and calm her down.
The hotel is amazing historically, and the rooms were the best by far when looking at other historical pub type accommodation. Beds very comfortable, hotel quality bed linen. Rooms hotel standard. Beautiful location. Check in process efficient and managers very friendly and helpful. Dinner in pub and breakfast outstanding. All areas clean. Thoroughly enjoyable, would highly recommend.
Ideally located for our friends' wedding at Tutbury Castle. Exceptionally clean, all little details covered down to different types of pillows and fresh milk left in the fridge. Great communication from the owner, really helpful with local enquiries. We will definitely be back again if we are in the area. Thank you!
Large car park, surprising quiet at night. Large rambling building but taken to our room, which is rare these days. Great staff, very attentive all well trained by Joss, who is one of the best managers we have seen in hotels.
Good pub grub menu, the steak was cooked to my request.
Very stylish and luxurious. Huge bed was so comfortable. Perfect location as guests at a wedding at Tutbury Castle which we could see from the house! Gorgeous toiletries. Sarah the host was a fabulous communicator. Do not hesitate to book this. Worth paying the price for.
Communication from Sarah was excellent throughout my entire stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well appointed. Tutbury is a charming village, plenty of great options for food and drinks. Bonus points for for the local peacocks!
Had a couple of one night stays here recently. Friendly staff, nice bar area (I didn't have dinner), and an attractive old property. Tutbury was a pleasant spot as well. Not a "destination" place to stay, but workable for a quick stop-over.
Very well decorated and very comfy bed.
Fantastic view of Tutbury castle from the decking area.
Lots of nice shops and cafe’s and pubs
Parked right in front of house, free car park 1 minute away as well.
Location is beautiful.
The owner is very welcoming and friendly but leaves you alone to enjoy the peace and quiet of a beautiful village. Tutbury is very nice and quiet.
It was self contained which was a lot better than a hotel. It can be booked for one or two nights which was perfect for us. It allowed dogs which is a bonus
