Staff were really friendly and professional. Refitted bathroom and walk in shower. Space in the room for table and 2 chairs.Dog friendly, with access to a large area in the bar. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast.

The room was great, plenty of space and very quiet. Bar area was also great with a large screen to watch sports and ability to get food in the bar. Breakfast was really good, lots of variety and good quality. Facilities were good and swimming pool not too busy.

A beautiful apartment set in lovely grounds. The apartment is nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable, clean and has everything you need. It was perfect for walking to the racecourse, where I was working, and walking distance from town with its brewery, pubs and restaurants. It is quiet too. The owners were communicative and helpful.

myself and husband went for a Xmas meal with 12 other people unfortunately for us were we sat the roof was leaking all over the table the annoying thing was they had known since morning and did nothing to move the table else wear not happy. the room we were put in very basic not in the main hotel but round the back and midway thru a shower the shower packed up so I had to stand in the bath and wash off the soap not happy at all very poor experience tge Xmas meal was nice and breakfast next morning nice that was only good thing
Location great - near Alton Towers and not too far from The Heights if Abraham in Matlock Bath. The rooms were spacious , clean , very comfy beds and the hotel is in a pretty setting. The food is excellent especially evening food, great choice menu and tasted lovely . pleasant staff , made us feel welcome 😁
The hotel was in a lovely setting. The beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of space in the rooms and in all seating area's in and outside the hotel. The food was really tasy and the management was really good, you could tell they wanted to do all they could to make your stay enjoyable.
We had an evening meal at the hotel which was very tasty, super hot and quickly served. Slept well in a comfy bed and then breakfast the following morning was great. All staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if in the area.
Lovely homely warm hotel. All the staff were great. Excellent cooked breakfast and excellent service. Great overnight stay for us as we were at Hanbury Barn Wedding venue. About 5 mins drive away. Thankyou to you all.
