A fantastic setting on the beachfront and a very warm welcome from receptionist on arrival. She was so kind and helpful. Don’t know her name. I would like to mention Rocky’s enthusiasm and friendliness meant a lot to us also. He helped to get a problem fixed efficiently. Another extremely hard working and very kind lady at breakfast is Sarah. Thank you all so much.

Eastbourne continues to offer an amazing opportunity to relax, centred next to the magnificent surrounding countryside, yet also offering a clean, well maintained seafront. The shopping centre offers all the well known names in a pleasing pedestrianised manner. The town has that feeling of being clean, safe and unique.

We thought Eastbourne town was awful and were very sorry we went at all. Even during the day, you could smell drugs in the air and there was fighting in the streets, people racing cars and motorbikes, nearly knocking pedestrians down and even with the constant police presence, we did not feel safe. Never going near the place again!

We planned to visit the Towner Gallery, but it was closed to prepare for the next exhibition. Enjoyed a show at the Devonshire theatre. Walks along the prom are nice, and views from the pier great. Eastbourne is a traditional seaside town that sees to be hanging in there better than most, although there are pockets of deprivation. Great for a few days break.

Eastbourne is a friendly seaside town with a quirky array of conventional shops, charity shops and restaurants for all budgets and tastes. The streets are wide and generally clean. The only criticism is the parking. It is well populated and has a fair amount of visitors so finding a space on the street can be difficult. I stuck with the central NCP which saved time and a headache!

This is not a 5 star hotel so you cannot expect it to be. For the price you pay its more than adequate. Clean and tidy room. Lovely friendly staff and a nice breakfast with everything you would expect. Location is perfect due to being on the seafront and no more than a 5/10 minute walk to the town centre and right opposite the pier. Our room had a lovely sea view although due to the wind and rain made it look slightly bleak. All in all very happy with our stay.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. Close to the seafront and a short walk from the Pier and the shops. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was very large, very clean and well equipped, with sea view. The restaurant was excellent and there was plenty of choice for breakfast, which was well cooked and well presented. There were several lounges to sit in and a comfortable bar area. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Had a wonderful time at this property, right on seafront by pier. Eastbourne is an adorable seaside town with clean and beautifully maintained gardens. Staff were attentive, breakfast good variety. Hotel is a bit dated but functional, liked the covered area at front. Hotel car park at rear is a necessity as little available parking by meters on seafront. Overall very good value.
