We got to stay in a room in the main building. The bed was very comfortable and made for a great sleep. The room was well insulated despite being right on the main street. There was ample storage space, bathroom was clean and the room generally well kept. Temperature was a bit high when we first arrived but this was easily adjustable. Breakfast was an English breakfast buffet with toast and cereals on the side, all very tasty. Great downstairs pub. All in all an excellent stay!

The property was well maintained and clean with gorgeous views of the lake from the livingroom window. York was only 25 minutes away and was a short drive to local pubs and shops for filling the fridge. The hot tub was amazing!
We travelled with our 10 month old daughter & Lisa was able to set up a travel cot in the 3rd bedroom which was really appreciated for our stay.

The staff were friendly and made the best out of the situation given there was a huge powercut for the majority of the day. They did make good use of their options and we were able to purchase food from the BBQ and pizza oven. The lodge itself was wonderful and modern with lots of great extras like high chair, travel cot which are great when travelling with a baby. I just would have liked to be able to experience it with full use of the lodge and facilities on site

We Enjoyed Pocklington aswel little market town with lovely village shops and cafes and afew bars its 10 mins in car from Allerthorpe country park.
We had a lovely Breakfast at the wolds cafe in pocklington and the browns fruit and veg shop which also sells cakes and fresh bread is lovely.

We loved the spacious room and the delicious breakfast. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely evening meal in nearby Pocklington at an Italian restaurant, 'Pane e Vino'. A delightful overnight stay!
