The room was very nice, super cosy and quiet. The futons were exquisite. The people working on the Ryokan were adorable. I honestly have nothing bad to say about our stay here. Also, the location is just perfect. To be that close to Zenkōji temple, especially at night when the street is empty... Best time I've had so far !

The food was great. We could not finish dinner because they gave us so much delicious food like boar and monkfish. Breakfast was also very filling and definitely worth the money because there are not many restaurants in the area. The staff was very nice - giving us a full tour when we checked in and were very friendly and approachable. The public onsen was nice as well as our private one. They made our futons for us in our room during dinner. Everything was clean enough. They spoke very limited English, but had translations pre-prepared for most things. I was able to get by with simple Japanese. They also gave you quite a bit of amenities like shampoo, skincare, aftershave, socks, and water bottles. Overall, our stay was very comfortable and I enjoyed it.

There are a total of seven of us traveling by car in the Nagano and Nagaoka areas, and this is the only hotel that can accommodate 7 people.
The host is very friendly and tried to communicate with us in slow Japanese and simple English.
The room is big and clean, the air-conditioning facilities and bedding are also very comfortable.
But be aware that there is only shared washrooms, and because of the covid, the onsen closes before 7:30, which means it will be difficult for you to take a shower after 7:30 (2022/08/05).
Featuring mountain views, Ryokan Warabino offers accommodation with balcony, around 12 km from Suzaka City Zoo. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available.

Featuring a Japanese garden and fish pond, Kamesei Ryokan offers Japanese-style accommodation, traditional dining and natural hot spring baths, both outdoors and indoors.
Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.

Great location, next to Zenko-ji Temple. Traditional breakfast is very nice. The owner is very kind, the staffs are friendly and helpful. Ryokan experiences (sleep on Japanese mat - tatami). Free onsen.
Great traditional ryokan that I can recommend to anyone! Nice staff, really good japanese style breakfast, beautiful rooms and so much more. I used the ryokan’s onsen every morning and night. Also great location as Zenkōji temple is located right next to the ryokan. 5/5 stars!
Huge, traditional room, with tatami mats, dinning space and private bathroom. Great onsen we had to ourselves.
Traditional Japanese breakfast was big and very tasty.
Hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, but for us it was a plus.
Authentic Japanese breakfast served at an agreed upon dining time. Onsens were authentic as were the futons on tatami mats. Great location to the main temple. Recommend this ryokan for a true taste of old Japan.
We loved our stay here. It was great for the family to experience a traditional Ryokan. The breakfast was very good if you want to have a traditional breakfast. It was a great location being right in the middle of Zenkoji Omotesando. Would definitely recommend.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Amazing breakfast. The onsen is wonderful and the futon s and blankets are super confortable. Had a good Japanese style feel staying here - they provide Yukatas in the rooms.
The Older Couple …Owners Of This Ryokan were Aware Of Visitors Well Beeing in any aspect …
The Public Bath for Men…Onsen…Were so Lovely…..Always convenient before Bedtime ..
The Hosts even cleaned my Room during my stay…
Yukata..Japanese Style Pyjamas were so Good….
A small but comfortable ryokan sitting on an ancient site on a beautiful pedestrian thoroughfare just fifty yards form the large Zenko-Ji Temple complex, easily accessible from the rail station by either bus or subway. Rooms compact but brilliantly designed - no shoes throughout with every necessary comfort and a really good traditional breakfast. Use the small but well-equipped onsen. Good eateries located nearby but do book.
It is a ryokan, Japanese style hotel, just in the street a few hundred meters away from the Zenko-ji (temple). The house is very old. The room looks beautyful, beds, (futons), Japanese chairs and table. The breakfasts and dinners were traditional Japanese. Lovely taste and made with care. There was an onsen, Japanes hot spring bath in the house. The staff was so friendly. They came up to our room to collect us for the meals. We have breakfast and dinner in a original Japanese (dining)room.
Great Ryokan experience (my first time), right in the historic temple walk. Even though several rooms were being remodelled, my room was in perfect condition and comfortable. Good onsen. I enjoyed trying on the yukata, but be aware even Japanese visitors don't always put it on! I was a little embarrassed at breakfast :D
