An Asian breakfast is available each morning at the property and includes warm dishes and local specialities. The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in.

New and well-kept hotel with spacious Japanese rooms with a large window and relaxing view. Hotel very clean both in the rooms and in the shared bathrooms. The internal onsen is small, but comfortable and well-kept, fantastic for relaxing. Both breakfast and dinner are very good and served with care, the quality of the food is excellent. The owners are very kind, very helpful and ready to solve any problem. The hotel is quiet and located very close to both the town center and the bus stop. It is a great place to stay, highly recommended for resting especially for those who, like me, were walking the Kumano Kodo path.

1. The employees in the hotel is so kind. Especially Sugawara-San. His English is very good. He gave us a lot of helps such as advices of hiking in Kumano Kodo, reservation of our lunch and dinner, arrangement of the transfer of our baggages. We are also appreciate to the man who welcomed us in the first night. He doesn't speak English but provided many helpful information thru Sugawara-San's translation. 2. The hotel has both indoor onsen and outdoor onsen. The outdoor onsen is very nice. It's far beyond my expectation. You can see stars and enjoy the nature onsen in the evening. 3. The room is big and clean. The housekeeping help collect the quilts in the morning and spread them in the evening for the guests.

The traditional rooms at Yunominesou Ryokan have sliding paper screens, floor cushions and Japanese futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Guests can relax in the Yukata robe or watch the LCD TV. All rooms include a toilet, an electric kettle and a fridge.

Absolutely amazing onsen hotel, great location, friendly staff, we also enjoyed the kaiseki dinner so much that we ordered it again. Same with the traditional breakfast. It doesn't get any more authentically Japanese than this, anywhere you go, quintessentially Japanese!

Large tatami room overlooking the river. Welcome onsen after two days on the Kumamo Kodo. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to look after my companion who had twisted his ankle.

One of Top Hotel during our trip in Japan! We got an authentic room with tatami, with amazing river view. Onsen inside are classic Japanese, but the one outside are really amazing, carved into the rocks, few meters from the river, the calmness, the falcons, the forest just as into a movie...Dinner and breakfast super extended, maybe even too much you don't know where to begin and where to end. Staff also super friendly. So, surely a recommendation for 3/4 days even more!

Rooms were spacious, clean and futons were comfortable. Both the buffet breakfast and dinner were pretty good as well with a decent variety and rotation of the dishes over the 2N that we stayed. However the outside onsen that was right next to the river with a wide open view of a mountain forest oppsite the hotel was the highlight, cover ups were provided for the mixed gender outdoor onsen, so me and my partner could enjoy an onsen together for the first time!

This ryokan is very nicely located on a river bank, across from a mature forest. Offering a view to admire is very Japanese, and so, its onsen extends on the river bank. This is where it gets messy : read below.

The meals were amazing - beautifully prepared and presented. So much thought went into them and they were delivered by a lovely Japanese host. The beds were on tatami mats with hard pillows .....something that you expect in a Japanese Ryokan.

Very kind staff who could not do enough for us. Delicious set dinner and breakfast. Clean and comfortable ryokan style room. All in a great location just over the hill from Hongu, next to the oldest natural onsen in Japan.

Adumaya Ryokan is the perfect way to explore Yunomine Onsen. We stayed two nights as part of our hiking route through the Kumano Kodo, and coming back to Adumaya to relax on its multiple baths was one of the highlights of our trip. The ryokan is a deep and layered blend of history and tradition; the service is unbeatable, the dinner incredible, and the experience a real treat. We particularly appreciated the above-and-beyond help they provided to ensure our next leg of the trip was seamless.

A good hostel, in a good location (though Yunomine onsen is not that big). It had a nice tatami common area that even had a few games provided, such as go. The hostel had its own private hot springs, that are free to use: a lovely outdoor bath, a relatively big indoor bath and a rather small indoor bath. We had booked a private room, not big but fine with three persons. We received bento boxes for dinner and you could grab rice for free. There was also free rice porridge for breakfast. Overall very good value for the price.
