What truly set it apart, though, was the exceptional hospitality of the staff who were not only friendly but also went out of their way to ensure a memorable stay. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Hanoi.

The tours the staff sell you are very overpriced. Better to go out and book with someone else. If they fix that issue, it's a great place.

Bathrooms seemed to always be being cleaned early morning when you wanted to use them so had to use a different floor - wasn't an issue to me. Activities and transport booked through them seemed expensive to me

The floors were damp a lot of times due to moisture and humid weather. They could dry-mop more often to avoid slipping and falling.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in so far in Vietnam. Best location in the Old Quarter area with easy access to everything. Clean, spacious and comfortable beds in a 8 bed mix dorm, staff friendly and polite, luggage storage facility for early or late arrival of the check in times. They also have a shower to refresh if you are yet to check in with your booking. The breakfast is lovely and at a reasonable price. Free beer during happy hour every evening. A fresh towel everyday with a 100k deposit in the beginning is a reasonable offer in my opinion. They also arranged for pick-up or drop services. They arranged a bus to Ninh Binh for me, which picks you up from their doorstep. Highly recommended!

The staff and facilities are excellent , the atmosphere is very friendly and they also help optimising your itinerary to fit more in! I am already staying here for another night. The location is also amazing, being situated a few hundred meters from the night market which stretches down to the lake.

I liked everything!

Ocean was a great host and provided me with a lot of information before my stay! I loved the hostel so much! It was super clean, very comfortable and the reception even provided visitors with any tips and tours to do throughout Hanoi and the region! For the price it was so so great! I would recommend it to anyone!

The staff was super helpful in planning tours and recommending things to do around Hanoi. The dorms were clean and quiet, and the female only dorm had a bathroom attached which was nice. Breakfast was cheap and nice.

Compare to other hostels in the same street this one is expensive, and be careful about the rain, the whole street will be full of dirty water and garbage, you have to walk through those dark water to go back to the hotel

In the evening there is a bit of a party vibe, but it did not bother me too much. Also, the light and outlet did not work properly, but the staff always helped out to ensure a pleasant stay.

It’s a great hostel in the centre of Hanoi. The staff is very helpful and kind. The facilities are very clean and are cleaned daily. After having some problems with other guests, the staff assisted very well in order to find a possible solution.

Old Quarter View Hanoi Hostel located in near enjoy nightlife and market. Group walk tour was nice especially tour guide Billy was kind and good humour guy. You can see Bridges, train street and market street during walk tour guided by hostel. Toilets and showers was so clean. If you wanted to rent moto or day cruise service, you can tell to reception. They will so kindly help you.

Great beds, good shower facilities, right in the centre of old town, but not too noisy. At night the room was perfectly quiet despite the chaos of the bars/clubs on the street only a few hundred metres away
