The ramp where we got the kayaks was really slippery.

Really liked the quiet away from the city. The view from our lanai was beautiful. Loved the pool & jacuzzi for the end of the day. All the staff was very friendly. Enjoyed our excursion to the sand bar. Thank you Chris for being such great person to see each day.

There is nothing bad I could write about this property, staff or location.

The view from this room was spectacular! We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a kitchen, dining room, living room, sizable patio (with furniture), nice-sized bathroom, and a private walkway to front door. We loved this room because of the location on the property and the ease to get from parking lot to the room. We love the amenities on the property, including a full BBQ kitchen area, a floating barge with very nice patio furniture, and they even provide lanterns in the evening hours to enjoy a romantic dinner on the barge (prepared on the bbq). The morning coffee and banana bread spread is amazing and the coffee they serve at Paradise Bay is outstanding. Just about every room has an exceptional view of the bay. There are loads of activities they provide including; kayak, stand up paddle board, and even a work out room. Hiking, Snorkeling, swimming, surfing and even basketball are just a short walk or drive from the hotel. Additionally, the front desk help, specifically Kris, are amazing! Kris exceeds your expectations by going above and beyond to ensure your stay is everything you dreamed it would be. Our son attends UH, Manoa and we prefer to stay out of Waikiki when we come to Hawaii. Paradise is perfectly situated in an area that is both quiet but accessible to many restaurants, shopping and evening affair. Mahalo.

No sugar or cream packets in rooms, nice to have if you choose to make coffee in room. We did go up and ask for creamers and it was no big deal. We knew ahead of time there was no food on site but it would be nice if there was just a snack and beverage cart. Could easily go in the reception area and people would buy, nice money maker.

Loved the location!!! 5⭐️ Very relaxing and it feels like another world compared to Waikiki. Be sure to reserve an ocean view room and take the kayaks out. Coffee, fruit and banana bread served in the am was a nice feature. Drive up and down the coast for scenery and stop at food trucks.

The room I was in was directly below the reception lobby (room 65). The sound of footsteps above was disturbingly loud, with people walking through during the night at least once an hour. I hardly got any sleep because it was more obvious at night. I complained about this as soon as I woke up. I requested a refund for the night and for the manager to come down to listen to the noise to verify I had a legitimate concern. The manager responded to say they wouldn’t give me a refund for the stay and I should have told them earlier. The resort overall was mediocre. No restaurant on site (which was as described, just disappointing, for the price), not even any sugar/creamer for coffee in room. Photo of room on booking page did not look like the room we stayed in - far more basic in our case.

The couch is very uncomfortable and shabby. The room is microscopic and the cooking facilities are minimalist. The bathroom doesn't have a fan which is unfortunate.

The view from our room was great. The rather remote location was just what we wanted.

Decent place, but very overpriced considering what was offered. Parking situation was also not ideal, and you're going to want a car because there is nothing nearby. Even food requires either a car or uber eats, as they didn't have a restaurant on the facilities. Housekeeping did not service us during our entire trip (we had to go to reception for more towels). When checking in, we were told little-to-no information about the "resort" and its facilities (or lack there of).

Comfortable room. Near a nice bay. Felt pretty private. Staff was friendly.

Resort did not provide us with what we had booked. Accommodated in the most appalling room that was no better than a cheap motel, dark, dingy and oppressive. We challenged reception that this was not the accommodation we had booked, outcome of discussion was that due to a third (?) party they were over booked and this was all that was available. They were more than happy that we checked out the next day as clearly it alleviated their over booking issue, however it gave us a very stressful and wasted day searching for new accommodation. The only favourable comment is there was no issue in providing us with a full refund. In hindsight I’m glad we didn’t stay there….. this is not a good resort, their website is deceiving and I would urge anyone thinking of booking this accommodation not to!! Look at TripAdvisor and you will see further bad reviews! Booking.com you should not endorse this resort.

    Nothing!

We were sad to leave. Wish we had spent our entire holiday with you!!! We could have enjoyed so much more with you - the sandbar boat excursion and dinner- if we had had more time! Mahalo for the beautiful memories!

The setting was phenomenal - exactly what we were hoping for in a Hawaiian holiday! The peace and quiet of respectful guests and neighbours. The amenities helped us manage our dietary restrictions. The access to sea kayaks allowed us to have a unique first experience on the ocean. The king-sized beds provided very comfortable sleeps! Staff was helpful with check-in and laundry.

Despite being well away from a town, there is no restaurant or bar - they haven’t reopened after Covid and it’s far from clear on the website. The rooms have tired furniture and the one air conditioning unit did very little to cool the room.

It’s a beautiful bay. It’s very near the TheBus route - it’s a great service if you have no car.

Our experience at this hotel was incredibly disappointing. We booked a water front cottage. But when arrived in the hotel they put us in the back of the hotel in a room with a view to a roof of the house next door. They blamed booking, and initially offered a free parking compensation. As we were preparing to leave the hotel, manager offer a full refund for us to stay. We then accepted to avoid additional burden. As per our surprise, again the hotel failed to deliver on its promises and processed a partial refund. Additionally, the information on booking is completely not up to date. Prices the inform for tours are not honored onsite, the dinner is actually cancelled since covide and again not updated. Do not trust on anything said by this hotel.

There was very little to like about this property. The only positive aspect was its location, which was conveniently situated for those looking for this side of the island.

Wouldn't consider the facility a "resort". Facility appears to be a remodeled apartment/condo complex, and is located within a shabby residential area. Parking is limited and very tight (lower lot). We could hear the upstairs and next door guests walking and talking, morning and night. Exercise room is a couple of cardio machines and dumbbells. Our room had a make-shift kitchenette, dishware, half size fridge, little counter space, no ventilation, and a hot plate on a wire rack cart. The toaster set off the smoke alarm every time we used it. We got insect bites in bed after using the blanket from the closet. When we stripped the bedding the next day, we found the mattress cover and pillows were covered in all manner of stains (gross!). Water access is via a slippery ramp into a brown colored side slough (no beach). The mosquitoes ate us alive in the evenings, so we couldn't really enjoy the lanai. No food, entertainment, activities, etc., so not really a resort. We would have checked out early and ate the cost, but we couldn't get an earlier flight home.

Grounds/gardens are lush and facility exterior well maintained. Use of "trex" style decking and painted bamboo for lanais and railings. Lobby/foyer is modern, bright, and open. Snorkel gear and kayaks are complimentary.
