Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesBreakfast was not available at all, contrary to what has been announced on Booking - and confirmed by the receptionist present at our arrival. This meant that we had to walk 15 minutes to the nearest place to get a cup of tea together with a breakfast bite. The receptionist who was there in the morning pointed us to an ihop (20 minutes walk away) and did not seem to know about a Starbucks that was much closer.
It was clean, convenient, quiet - everything I needed for the night was there.

United StatesOnline it said the room would sleep 5 but the room only had two queens and no couch, we had to go to Walmart and buy an air up mattress. We asked for house keeping to come each day but they never showed up. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles were all empty. AC did not work very well, only had two towels and beds were not comfortable. Was not worth the money.

United StatesThe large overflowing dumpster outside our room for over 9 days and growing. Wind storm along with discarded furniture and carpet wasn't a good combo. They had a large group staying with a conference in town and the greeting was the dumpster as well as the site for the bus pick ups. I felt embarrassed for the hotel and people. What kind of place have we blindly picked to stay? You can hear them talking about it. We are relocating and planning to stay for a month. Checked out after 9 days. We are hotel folks and have worked in hotels our entire careers. They unfortunately had a QA inspection from us daily and failed miserably. The "food" and beverage is awful. You can sit in the lobby and watch people bringing in all their food and delivery of dinners. It's not even funny.. Employees on phones with customers at the bar. Service or needing anything is not important to the staff or what staff you see. I think about 5 people work in the entire hotel. Room incredibly dark. 3 lamps in room. 1 on bright grocery store lighting and 2 at eye level on bright by beds. Noisy air conditioner and very hot. Such a small bathroom sink there isn't room to set anything down. Door missing off cabinet (apparently waiting in the hall to be put back on) I wouldn't stay here even if the rate was 50$ a night but it isn't. Paying 150$ a night at a literal dump isn't worth it.

United StatesEven after showing up an hour after checkin they were servicing rooms. It took 3 different rooms before we could bring in our things to get settled?To top it off, an employee from housekeeping came to address the situation and told us the room we were originally given was clean? Yet we provided pictures of stains on the bed to the front desk representative? I felt it was very unprofessional.

I was disappointed we paid for a courtyard view and had a shipping container as out our window. We also pre paid and they said we didn’t pay and wanted us to pay again when I had the receipt. The young woman at the front desk was very rude. The night supervisor was very nice and gave us breakfast because of the service.

United StatesI typically only write reviews for excellent service but this experience was exceptionally terrible and therefor warrants an honest review as a warning for other potential guests. I stayed at The Courtyard Merritt for three days in April 2023 while visiting my son stationed at Fort Carson. My younger son was traveling with me and requested a hotel with a pool so I was happy to find a hotel with a pool located close to the army base. When we arrived, everything fell apart. 1. We arrived 30 minutes before 4pm and were made to wait outside as early check-ins are not allowed and there was no seating provided. 2. Check-in software was down so we returned at 4pm to a lobby full of people all waiting to check in. 3. Key cards were a one time use deal, you had to get them reactivated upon leaving the room. 4. Hotel was very understaffed, we were left waiting for smoke breaks to be over to receive assistance. 5. No hot water in our room, staff had me go room to room looking for a room with hot water. I never found one. 6. Standing water in the tub the morning we were leaving, which was the first time the water got warm enough to shower. 7. Very, very slow elevator that started moving before the door was shut. We would have just used the stairs but could not find stairs, an emergency exit or signage for it. 9. EVERYTHING was blamed on a recent electrical fire which was obvious with all the construction taking place...but I doubt that impacted the software and key cards. 10. Hotel smelled overwhelmingly of drywall, texture and paint. 11. All amenities were unavailable, including the pool. 12. When I asked for a small discount on principle since I felt it was unfair to pay full hotel prices for a hotel that was far from fully functional the manager was completely rude and condescending and told me it wasn't her choice to open the hotel back up before it was ready. I will add that the staff were well aware of the hot water and key card issues, it was not just me.

United StatesWe were quite disappointed that the pool was not in service, and there was no café to get breakfast in the morning due to renovations going on. Highly recommend the Hotel to update its website to reflect renovation changes. We were very much looking forward to using the pool after our long day at the Garden of the Gods to only find out it has been broken for about 3 weeks now (4/9/2023) and will possibly not be open for about another 6 months (according to front desk staff). We then asked about the rooms with jacuzzi tubs in them and was told they were gone due to the renovation going on. We also were looking forward to having some breakfast the morning we left to go to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (4/10/2023) only ALSO to find out that the café area is down due to renovations going on. Had we of known all of this was going on before booking, we would have stayed somewhere else. Due to it being Easter Holiday the day we checked in (4/9/2023) we did not want to take the chance of cancelling and trying to get in somewhere else. Our booking confirmation also showed that there would be a microwave in our room, in which there was not one to be located.
The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location was great for everything we had planned for our trip.
