Breakfast could be better

Beautiful stay, great location, amazing staff!!

I was not attracted to the breakfast display, doesnt mean it met anyone else's expectations. I realize this is a separate venue; but I went into the restaurant to order some light Indian food. The waiter wanted me to order immediately, but I hadn't checked out the menu. Meanwhile he went about waiting on other people and never came back to me so I left and never went back. And I like Indian food and have had it numerous times.

My requirements were minimal. So I was in general very satisfied. I was mostly a morning coffee drinker with a donut/bagel/croissant and a hard boiled egg. The staff was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and nicely presented, and (except for one morning) was well supplied with the towels I required. The view was the parking lot, but I didn't stay in my room and the view in general was good as there was a wall(?) etc, abutting the roadway - not unattractive. I would be happy to stay there again should I return.

The breakfast what is similar to a quality Inn. If they had fresh fruit and bought some baked goods from a local bakery, they could take the breakfast to another level.

It was set on a lake and there was a gorgeous view. It was in a quiet area. The building was historic, but the rooms were recently renovated. The staff was fantastic. It was one of the few places that does daily housekeeping, and you don’t even need to ask.

The restaurant was so bad the first time I stayed that I stayed clear of it this time. I asked the lady at the desk if the cook had changed or was there something not good at the middle of Covid. . . . but she swore it was always great. Not true. . I know Indian Food and every dish was spiced horribly. . .

I was very said not to be able to book a room that overlooked the lake. I will remember to do that next time. . . .the first time I stayed there it was already part of the package I got from Booking.

Beautiful Inn on lake. Best surprise was a delicious Indian Restaurant onsite. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of options.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean, but the furniture is a little worn. It provides a rustic feel, but it has a lot of dark tones, and might be ready for an upgrade, Don't let that stop you though. It is a great little hotel.

This hotel is right on a lake and has a great view. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We were on the first floor and had a sliding door and a porch. We were lucky enough to have stairs that led down to the lake. The real extra special treat to this hotel is MINT, the restaurant that is attached to the hotel. If you like Indian food, then you will be very happy. It is arguably some of the best Indian cuisine I have had. You know a hotel restaurant is good when more than just guests go there to eat.

Breakfast was underwhelming. Adequate but I have seen better. I was not a fan of the pillows and there was no alternative choice.

This independent is as good as a comparable chain. Fixtures are generally up to date. Staff was good. Lakeview room was nice, large. In all comparable to a quality/ comfort inn.

Nothing that the hotel can do anything about. People talk loudly in the halls with fairly loud doors opening and closing at all hours. Yet, so outweighed by all that is so good about this property.

Reasonably priced place that accepts dogs all while providing an exceptional view!!! We enjoy the stay at the Black Swan with staff eager to meet the needs of all customers. The room is a good size, the deck was clean and semi-private, and the view was priceless!

Size of the room was smaller than i thought.

It would be better if there are more cooked food options for breakfast rather than microwaving refrigerated sandwich. Also sq ft of the room was not clear.

The coffee with the free breakfast was not hot. The first morning they ran out of pancake batter.

We showed up earlier than expected but our room was ready and they let us check in before 2pm. We also got a room upgrade. We had the Sunday buffet after we checked in and it was very good.

I put a lot of faith and hope in breakfast and it was a bit lacking . The “nook” area was isolated in the back of the lodging area and there were limited opportunities for hot food. I was excited about the pancakes maker but there was no hot protein to go with the pancake.

I had been told,I thought, in response to my question ,that I could have a room on the pond side if it was available (no one had booked them all) for no extra charge. In fact I could not-- was told I had to pay extra regardless of whether they were available.

The second floor hallway always smelled a little stale and a bit like we were entering a house full of cats. This did not impact our room in any way. Perhaps updated carpeting would help. Or just air freshener. We had two drawers in our chest of drawers that would not stay closed. It was no big deal, but it made us laugh.

We liked our room and view. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant. Our room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The location allowed us to easily access Stockbridge, Lee, Lenox, and Pittsfield.

Friendly staff, very clean, excellent Indian food restaurant in the facility, easy access, view of the lake. Excellent place. Close to Stockbridge and the Norman Rockwell museum.
