“Gave a very authentic feel and we had a great view of mt Fuji from our window! The bike rentals was also super handy. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking appliances.”
“I stayed 2 nights here, the host and the family is very friendly. They have converted an old place into guesthouse and there is a nice hippie vibe to the place. The rooms are well ventilated and Japanese style with tatami mats. There is a common room where I spent most of my time talking to other travellers and Masaya (the host). The place is a little away from main spots but he picks and drops us at Kawaguchi Station through the day apart from 10am-3pm window when he is busy preparing rooms. This includes not only check in and check out, but also for your trips. Overall a nice experience and I would highly recommend it.”
“Host was great and gave us a lift to the station at the end of our stay. He also rented some e-bikes to us for the day which was great”
“Everything was great!”
“Very friendly and helpful owner , clean warm rooms and onsen. Great location on the lake opposite the swans pier.”
“This was such a fantastic experience - a beautiful, traditional guesthouse in a great location to explore Five Lakes. The guesthouse is steeped in history, and even though we didn't see Fuji, these two nights were an absolute highlight of our trip. Our hosts were so helpful and communicative. The nearby temple is a must see - the most beautiful we saw in our three weeks in Japan.”
“Very cute guesthouse right on the lakeside with views of Fuji. Shared bathrooms were clean. Check in was simple, but did not meet the host.”
“The breakfast was excellent; you can tell it's a hearty homemade meal. The guest house is not with many rooms but its warm and cozy. The host is a kind lady who catered to all my schedules. The room was prepared with pajamas, a robe, mosquitos repellent, aroma oil and diffuser, and more.”
“Excellence service
Good atmosphere
Good bed room and rest room
Not far from Mt. Fuji view points.”
“We loved our stay in the Asumi Onsen! The hosts are so lovely! The room was very clean and beautiful! The place is so peaceful, we had an excellent sleep! And the private onsen was really good too! I am gluten free, so the hosts made sure that I could eat everything for breakfast, so I really appreciated as it is hard for me to eat in Japan and the breakfast was excellent!”
