“Extremely helpful staff at reception. At check in and check out Luke was particularly helpful and went the extra mile to answer my queries. Beautiful hotel and grounds and very relaxing ambiance with plenty quiet areas like the library and gardens to enjoy. Dinner was in a beautiful dining room and beautifully presented with and excellent menu. Although I was just on holiday it would be ideal for a special occasion too. Because I brought my dog with me we coud have a lovely breakfast in the cocktail bar and staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to do this as part of their excellent pets policy , which with all the little touches in the room was one of the best I've come across. Leisure facilities were very nice too and the grounds were lovely to explore.”

“Lovely location on the island with lovely views of the Castle. Gardens and walks just on the door step. Very friendly and helpful staff and a nice lounge bar area serve good bar meals and lunches. Very relaxing. Nice room with all the expected facilities. Enjoyed a good breakfast before it was time to leave. Parking at the hotel was a bonus too”
“The staff always made a point of saying hello or good morning. Breakfast was freshly cooked and high quality, if very traditional. Our room was comfortable and a good size. We felt very at home!”
