This hotel should be graded 4* not 3. The decor is beautiful. Clean and modern. The location is great, overlooking a beautiful park and Hexham Abbey. Bar and restaurant good. Staff great too.

This is my third visit and it was as good as ever. I requested room 23, which we were given, as I love it's spaciousness and beautiful view. We missed breakfast, but had your delicious scones instead. All staff were friendly and helpful and always a great buzz in reception/bar/restaurant.

Dinner was exceptional! Souffle's to die for and the Waygu steak was simply delicious!! Would highly recommend. Breakfast was fantastic as well with fresh juices, croissants and a delicious cooked selection. The hotel has a wonderful buzzy atmosphere - clearly a very popular place for locals as well as visitors. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and looked after us extremely well - nothing was too much trouble. Surprisingly quiet spot in the centre of Hexham with lovely views over park.

Wonderful staff, happy to help all of the time. The room was comfortable and very clean, with everything we could want or need. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. All in all, a great weekend away, we will return!

This is a very classy establishment. From the minute you walk in, the staff are superb, very professional and even handled me dripping wet with cycling gear arriving on their doorstep with a warm smile and professionalism. Room was fantastic, bed was comfortable and great shower. Very elegant.

United KingdomI think the car parking could be better worded. When travelling by car with quite a bit of luggage, it’s very useful to know that you will be able to park ! It does state on the Booking.com page that street parking and free private parking is possible on site( reservation is not needed). Street parking is by purchase of a disc,albeit for a nominal fee but this only gives you 2 hours, it’s free between the hours of 6pm and 9am, so you have to arrive after 4pm BUT finding an empty space is a lottery. The free on site parking, is underground and amounts to 10 spaces, ( some of which are used by staff) all extremely challenging to negotiate. Entry is from a busy main road, with a tight curve, their is little room for manoeuvre once in, I would recommend enquiry at the reception first to ascertain that there is a space beforehand.
