“It,s a large room/appartment with a small kitchen, couch, table with 2 chairs and washing machine. Building has a good vibe, as in pictures. In the lobby free coffee and some seating. We also had a patio, but not really nice to sit, cause all walls surounded you.”

The location is pretty central as well, walkable to several spots for tourists. Would definitely recommend to all the people looking for a nice hut house in Kyoto and it was one of my highlights during the trip!
If you spend few hundred bucks in hotel why don’t you spend on this traditional and historical Japanese hut house! It worth every penny PS: the breakfast is nice too, can’t miss that:)

Everything was very clean, the mini gardens super pleasant as well the bathroom and toilet.
We could store the luggage a bit in advance, for which we are very thankful to the host.
Close to subway and bus stations and a little away from the city crazyness, but easy to access.

“This was a lovely change up from the hotels we'd been staying at! A very Japanese experience, one half of our family slept in the upstairs beds while my husband and I slept on the futons/tatami mats in what easily re-converted into the sitting room. Beautifully designed functional kitchen and gorgeous bathroom! Appreciated the comfy pajamas for lounging around. Deeply appreciated the early check in. Wished we could have stayed longer!”
