“This hotel is a great find for Kyoto. It's great value for money considering its location, plus the onsen and breakfast that comes included in the price. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in Kyoto on a budget.”
“Google maps brought me right to the hotel so the directions were perfect for a first time-traveler to Japan. It's a short walk from the train station, so I didn't have to go far. The lobby was clean, the music calming, and invited you to relax while waiting for the staff to handle your booking. I had to wait a few minutes and the staff were very polite and apologetic for the delay but it was only a few minutes so it was all fine! They set me up with my room key and had a high level of English so communicating was easy. I was actually staying at one of their other locations from their main Classico location, their Fiore hotel, but that was just around the corner and easy to find. The entrance to Fiore was clean and sleek and I loved the little bits of greenery and the pathway cutting through it all. I just had to touch my room card key off the door and I was in. There are free amenities immediately to the right, such as toothbrushes, hairbrushes, face towels, razors, etc that you can take if you are travelling light and forgot to pack any. The elevator brought me to my floor and I easily found my room. The room was clean and I had plenty of space to set my suitcase and bags down. The bathroom had a bidet and towels, and there was shampoo, body wash, and conditioner included. The wifi code was displayed on the TV once you turned it on. I had a pleasant night's sleep with the AC blasting out cold air (I stayed during the height of summer). Breakfast was at the main Classico location so I went there in the morning. The staff serving food were lovely and polite. It was a continental breakfast so I got a bit of everything! There was also lots of choice between apple juice, orange juice, water, tea, and coffee.
Check-out was done seamlessly. All-in-all, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.”
“Pretty good overall, walkable to Tenoji station which was really helpful and made it easy to get around town. Common areas were good, would be nice if they had a couple more games or something though.”
“It was a true traditional riokan.
Located in a quiet street but near to the main streets and Nishiki market. Very convenient!
Everything was simple and very clean.”
“Great location! Comfortable sleep and remarkably quiet for how close to a busy road it is! No complaints but everything is very tiny, tiny common area, but it is to be expected in Japan.”
“Great location right in the heart of Shinsaibashi.
Comfortable beds and pillows.
Laundry facilities were wonderful.
Incredible breakfast, with small tweaks each morning. Highly recommend booking "breakfast included".”
