“I needed to stay overnight in Bilbao when travelling to France with my touring pedal cycle, in late May this year.
For a stranger to the city, the location is a little difficult to find, from the autobus station, but the proprietor answered the door promptly when I found the small hotel (located in a pleasant side street, with useful café bars nearby.
The proprietor spoke excellent English (always a help to someone who rarely travels to Spain, and never to the Basque country) and was very helpful in making my brief stay a pleasant and problem free one.
I would unhesitatingly recommend this small pension/hotel.
I was able to bring my bike inside overnight, although there was no way of locking it up - but that's an unusual requirement.”
“Location was great, in the heart of the old town and handy for pintxos bar hopping. Check in was easy and communication before our arrival was good. Our room (the crane room) was quirky and the bed was comfortable. We didn’t find it too loud at night due to the side of the building it was on.”
“Loved the location, room was very comfortable. It had a very unique air con system in the centre of the ceiling which put out a very gentle cool airflow.
Never encountered this type of air conditioner before, but it was very good. Good water pressure in the shower. Very convenient lounge room with coffee, soft drinks and snacks on offer from a vending machine. The staff were excellent.”
