Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumThe neighborhood where this is located is really not a very nice place to be. Unbelievably noisy and not recommended to stay more than 1 or 2 nights. (The owners do warn for this in advance and provide earplugs, you will need them).
Spacious, clean and a very easy and clear online check-in and good communication through WhatsApp. Close to metro.

CanadaUber from airport was 40 euro for 15 min drive. If you have an early or late flight. Might be a problem getting there.
Very clean and modern, great spots to visit around the area, close to metro. Hosts communicated clearly through whatsapp. There was a massive party outside that night and I missed it because the room was so quiet.

SwedenStreet noise was not a problem, however, the other guests were having a party in the corridor and knocking on all doors. Noise and partying didn’t stop until 0430 am. If you are travelling for work like I did, I do not recommend this place.

Rooms are in the center of Barakaldo, very close to metro station and a walking distance from BEC. Easy check in, microwave and some basic 'breakfast' was a nice addition.

United KingdomTo their credit, the owner warned me about the noise levels at every opportunity and I should have cancelled immediately. I was unaware that the bars in the area would stay open until 5am though. If you are the kind of person that wants to stay at said bars until 5am then this is a perfect hotel, if you like me you actually want to sleep at night then steer will clear. I don't hold this against the owner though as they did warn me.

GermanyWe stayed only for a night. All the communication and check-in happened without any face-to-face communication, yet it was clear and we faced no issue checking in. Our host also helped us by booking a taxi to the airport for an early flight. The room has everything we could need (a small fridge, a ventilator, paper plates and plastic cutlery). When the window is opened, it can be quite loud but once closed, one hears almost nothing and with the ventilator, the temperature in thr room was very pleasant
